Hyori’s dress doesn’t flatter her, but I never really understood her so-called “sex appeal.” I saw one of her performances recently and it looked really sloppy–she had no on-stage charisma/sex appeal, her dancing was boring (just a lot of hair flipping and grinding), she can’t sing worth a dime, and the song wasn’t memorable. So why are we still praising this chick?

Not having a plus-sized back doesn’t mean it’s not tight and curvy.
So that dress might not do Hyori justice, but I’ll be damned if I’m not thankful that my eyes are receptive to just about every genetic variation of the female form there is.

With all of that said, it seems like popseoul doesn’t like Hyori. I mean, I’ve NEVER heard of her before coming to this site, and when I did, I’ve only read bad things about her. But I can only go by pictures, and from what I have been seeing, she’s very pretty, but DEFINITELY not all that. C’mon now, Song Hye Kyo, Shin Min Ah, Lee Da Hae, Amerie, BoA, Crystal Kay, and TONS of other Korean women can run a million circles around this chick. I’m not hating. I don’t know her to hate on her. I can only go by what I see, and with her being a “celebrity”, that gives people the license to criticize her. I was just pointing out that it’s NOT unusual for a woman to only gain fat in her breasts/bottom, and I listed the examples of how that is VERY common in Black/Latino women, and listed a few well-known celebrities who are known for their figures so that people would get a mental picture.

The girls I mentioned are way PRETTIER than Hyori. Even though Amerie and Crystal Kay are considered Black (and technically are if you go by the “one-drop” rule), they are still half-Korean, which made me put them in the category of “Koreans that are prettier than Hyori” according to my previous post. I wasn’t talking about how “curvy” they were at all. I was referring to their beauty in comparison to Hyori.
Look, bottom line though, if you think Beyonce is fat, then that is your opinion, just like people saying Hyori is a talentless, flat, “whore”ish (in the words of a few posters) ordinary pretty face, is theirs. If you are a love-struck Hyori fan, okay I understand that, but everyone has their own standard of beauty, but there is no reason to get all stereotypical about it.
