Big Bang’s G-Dragon and TOP hospitalized

Big Bang members, T.O.P (real name Choi Seung-hyun) is in the hospital for a severe case of tonsilitis. The one time chubbster was rushed to the hospital 30 minutes before going on air for the year end 2007 KBS Music Awards on December 30th, 2007.

Visiting him at the hospital, fellow member G-Dragon (Kwon Ji-young) also checked himself in for exhaustion that same night. He was released temporarily on the 31^st (Korea time) for a show taping.

G-Dragon and T.O.P are both being treated. T.O.P is expected to stay in the hospital for a week. No word yet on G-Dragon will be released.

What a way to start the new year.

TOP has tonsillitis? I’ve heard he’s been in there for so many different problems lol (exhaustion, the flu, now this).

don’t forget about poor seungri~ gee, now three out of five members of Big Bang are hospitalized… noooo! let’s just hope that taeyang and daesung keep up their health, too!! YG (the horrible man for making these boys work so hard…) announced that he’s letting them rest for a week beginning of january. gosh one lousy week only….

they’r still growing, sure, but that doesn’t mean their sickness won’t be as painful or serious as anyone else…

Yeah, I agree, this happens way too often. Its just carelessness on the part of the people who schedule the performers/singers for these events. Whether they be old or young, group or solo artist, they need time to recuperate. Maybe sacrifice a couple radio/signing promo events or ones deemed not as important as big concert events. Not to mention many of these people are expected to act on the side and do commercials and photo shoots.

@kaitlyn: Standard procedure these days (at least in Australia) is not to remove the tonsils unless the person has recurring tonsilitis.

uhhhhhh…can someone explain how they got hurt?
Were they doing something stupid like drinking/driving?

I wonder why they’re hospitalized? I bet they were doing something very very stupid and dumb! If so, thats what they deserve!

tonsillitis are viral infections kelly so they werent doing something stupid…some allergens and bacteria are known to cause it….
Its cna be caused by teh environment you’re in and the things that you eat….
and people are prone to get it especially in crowded places… and you can imagine their day to day meetings with a lot of crowded people etc.. so research it kelly
