Son Dam Bi, dubbed as the “female Bi,” turned out to be more fizzle than sizzle, probably because she was taking the next Bi title too seriously, with the sparkly, baggy stage ensembles.
However, her “Hollywood Body” and her startling transformation to HOT and feminine versus tom-boyish is finally giving some credibility to the hype. Son Dam Bi is currently in the States brushing up on her dancing and singing for the release of her first album, due for release in March. Expectations are high, let’s see if she can really deliver.

I was a bit disappointed that she doesn’t have strong vocals. though it’s ok since her voice fit her songs anyway and she’s a damn good dancer. Her new look is HOT. I love her hair like that and I envy her long legs.

She’s gorgeous… but I still don’t think she can dance. She’s looks like a stiff praying mantis…there’s no passion. She needs curves to pulls off those slick moves. Looks like she hesitates and is concentrating too hard to get moves right… just go with the flow baby! I just don’t understand… She pulls off moves that I have not seen other Korean female dancers do, but her dancing is nothing to be excited over. It’s got no soul. That’s my opinion.

I see potential in her but she doesn’t show the passion in her dancing. She looks stiff at times. I do like her but when she dances you can tell she is focusing on getting her moves done correctly. She shouldn’t worry about that. Natural born dancer can just easily let the moves go. I’m happy she is in LA brushing up her dancing hopefully she’ll learn to just let the moves flow naturally and let it go.
When she returns I wanna see what she learned.
She has the moves she just needs to work on not looking stiff.
Oh and I like the new look but I prefer the old look. The old look fits with her image and dancing.

Actually, DARN! I was hoping there was someone in the industry who could market themselves off by pure talent and hard work instead of having the “sexy” image. She was still very pretty before, even dressed casually. I liked her a LOT before because she could sing decently and dance awesomely without dressing like a hoochie like most female singers out there. Now, I’m REALLY disappointed. (Yeah, I’m a girl.)

Also, the first pic is untouched and a candid snapshot while she’s dancing. The second is a stylized and most likely retouched studio shot. She strikes the right pose and half her face is covered. High heels definitely help elongate her figure.
Yeah, those baggy clothes didn’t do much for her. You really can’t see her figure and she just looks thin, not ripped and toned.
Baggy clothes can be quite sexy if done right and on the right body type, like Mina. You have to mix the baggy with tight/revealing. It really helps to have either a very feminine made-up face and hair or else a pretty androgynous face and hair.
Actually, all the dancers and the guest rap artist rock the sexy baggy look well in one of Mina’s videos. J-lo has done the look well in a music video as well. Ciara rocks the sexy baggy look most of the time in her videos.
what is with the sexy everywhere? she is a singer/dancer she doesnt need to be sexy just have a good voice, good songs, and perform well. she is just doing what her marketing team tells her to do. they tried to make her stand out with her imagine and when no one took notice they switch to the safe “im half naked with fake everythings” look that everyone else has. so sad. when will an artist come out and just stand on their talents alone?
