Actor Kanghee, better known as the late Jung Dabin’s boyfriend is slowly coming back to the limelight with his movie My Love Yurie. This independent movie is about a melodramtic love story where Dong-a (Kanghee) sells his soul to the devil to save his girlfriend (Go Dami) from her evil dad.
My Love Yurie’s release was delayed a year because there were speculations that Kanghee was involved in Jung Dabin’s death, but investigations cleared his name by confirming that it was in fact a suicide.
But that one year lag is clearly not helping Kanghee’s acting career as he is still remembered and referred as Jung Dabin’s last boyfriend who discovered her body hanging in the bathroom. If he really wanted an acting career, he should’ve changed his name and reconstructed face because his association with Jung Dabin will never fade.
My Love Yurie will hit theaters on January 31st.
