Rain doing his part at Taean Beach

Rain_20080116_popseoul

Just like Pinky, Rain is just idiotic with his professional decisions but is nice at heart. Rain and his J.Tune crew traveled down to Taean Beach to help clean out the oil spill “in secret” yesterday. The generous mouse also donated approximately $300K worth of winter clothes and drinking water to assist those involved in the clean-up.

Rain also signed on with Miao Group from China to become the face of “Miao Sports” for the next 12 months.

Is it just me or does he look good in that pic

I think he looks remarkably CLEAN in that pic. I’ve seen roadworkers with more tar on them than I see on this guy.

I just can’t understand people who expect celebrities to act like philanthropists or saints – especially when they themselves do very little, if any, for the needy. It’s completely in their rights for the celebs to do charitable acts oor not. They aren’t required to do these for any reason. But, it’s nice when they do.

I’ve read somewhere else that his USA fans donated money on the 18th, after hearing about this good deed of his on the 16th. Wow…I’m sorta touched Americans would do such a thing, especially because of a not-well-known Asian artist (in terms of the U.S majority).

Well its probably for publicity, but I’ll be nice and hope its from the goodness of his heart.
Either way, a good deed yields good results regardless of its motive.

I read that rain-usa decided to make donation in Rain´s name. After asking J Tune for donation information they were told, that Rain also wants to make donation and J Tune wanted them to wait til Rain makes his donation first.

I don’t know what’s wrong to some of you Guys.Rain did something good for the benefit of others as well..It looks like, nobody remember when Rain’s doing good butwhen he did something like the fiasco’s they’re claiming, nobody’s can forget…Same old story bringing up on and on and onn, almost it never end..
Why not give him a break and live him alone,so that he can prove to his self and put back the confident that his worthy to being a normal person like us..
His not a danger to the community,so let us give him the freedom to do ,what he really wanted to do in his life..He is a good person, stop bugging him up…

with tar or none, for publicity or not, cheapskate or big-giver..come on guys, he DID ACT. he had the power to bring with him crews and that showed that whatever his intentions are, he DID TRY.
he’s a celebrity and popseoul is right, he has DONE his part.
the beach needs a hand and he held out his.

Even if this is a publicity stunt, does it really matter? Whatever it is, the fact is (1)he did donate USD300K (that’s alot of money!) when he didn’t really have to do that, and this money would no doubt go towards helping those affected; (2) as a high profile celebrity he would no doubt be able to bring people’s attention to this cause and encourage or motivate others to extend some assistance.

I’m a big fan of Rain and I can vouch that (2) above is so true, because after seeing this news of him supporting this cause, a group of fans I know decided to pool together some money to form a donation in Rain’s name, and I also made a contribution. It is not much, but we wanted to show support to the cause he supports. A friend of mine heard about this, and decided to also make a small donation although she is not a fan of Rain.
