SG Wannabe’s leader Chae Dong Ha will leave the successful R&B group when his contract with Mnet media expires in May. Chae Dong Ha decided to leave because Mnet discouraged him from branching out into acting, musicals, etc.
Other members, Kim Jin Ho and Kim Yong Jin are understanding of Chae Dong Ha’s decision, but we are not. We are quite disappointed because we expected Chae Dong Ha to eventually become a real musician, instead of just another entertainer in the industry.
SG Wannabe will replace Chae Dong Ha in the future, but in the meantime the three Wannabes are working hard to release their fifth album in March.

WHAT?! disappointed. REALLY disappointed.
He actually hasn’t confirmed that he will definately leave. He said he may not renew his contract with Mnet. So it’s still up in the air. Personally I think that it’s stupid of him to even think about leaving.
WTF!? That can’t effin’ be…he better no leave…where are they fans? they should go protest in front on M.net media’s building like the elves did for suju! if i was in korea, i would soooo do that. if he does leave, he will become like he use to be before he entered sg wannabe.
It’s definitely sad to hear that. The man has talent for singing. You know, he’s so successful in singing that maybe he doesn’t want to be part of the singing career anymore. When you’ve reached the top, you sometimes lose interest in what you’re doing and would like to start on something else… I guess he can be good at singing, but there is also a chance that he may stink/or be good at acting… I hope that he doesn’t leave though because SG Wannabe was put together because of their voices. With him gone, it shouldn’t be SG Wannabe anymore… It would be something else!

Chae Dong Ha is going to go nowhere if he leaves SG Wannabe. I love SG Wannabe as a group…and if any of them leave, I’ll never listen to SG Wannabe again. I mean, when he was solo before he was put into the group, he couldn’t even cause a ripple in the industry…and I don’t think it’s going to be any different after he leaves SG Wannabe. But anyway, I have a feeling that their company is not going to let that happen. SG Wannabe are the money makers for the company…
He wants a change in his life, and I support him. I can’t see how he would have been able to becom a “real musician” when obviously M.net has been hindering his ambitions. Go him~
I think he’s forgetting what little success he had as a solo artist. I think he’s forgetting that his isnt the voice that catches everyones attention. I think he’s forgetting that its Kim Jin Ho who grabs the attention for the group. I think he’s forgetting that he is a musician not an actor. I think he has let the recent success of SG Wannebe get to his head.
Sure there is the small chance that he will succeed and SG wannabe will be fine without him. There is also the possibility of them both failing miserably and fading into a faint memory, leaving behind only the “What if”…
those little experience he had doing the footloose musical made him lost his brain i think….very dissappointed in him, i would be more understanding if sg wannabe is already like 9 or 10 years in the industry but hey they just celebrated their 4th year of forming the group on the 21st jan and dongha wanted to throw in the towel to leave the other 2 members in a lurch after the group made him rich and famous…gosh he was nobody when he was a solo singer….jinho and youngjun fighting i will support them and sg wannabe all they way …

wow that is really suprising his voice was really good along with the other two members but if the company he’s with is dicouraging him from trying something new then that’s not fair if it comes to him signing with a new company maybe and hopefully the outcome for him will be different

I am so sad when I found out on this *bleargh* Yeap SG will never be the same again T_T However, this is something that prob coming cause I was watching their concert and he was all dressed up in costumes and reli into the whole perf and I was thinking at that time this fella love singing but he’s also looking somewhere else XD I jus wish MNet lets him do his stuff..why Mnet? WHY?????
