I don’t have nothing against SS501 but I wouldn’t consider their Japan debut successful.
They had all their singles rank in the weekly charts. For Kokoro and Distance, they ranked 4 and 3 respectively in the daily charts. They might not be as popular as TVXQ yet in Japan, but I’d still consider their debut to be a success.

While I was in Japan last year SS501 was huuuu… nowehere?
they ranked in the daily charts in the top five (their singles being suspiciously never release on wednesday? =x) but then they dropped like a rock.
they were in very few shows because their japanese suck potatoes and they need a translators and japanese people is really anal about their language.

Well, i didnt know much about SS501 but I know that they have their own supporters and fans. I’m a big fan of Dbsk, Epik High, Clazziquai, Loveholic, Yunha and 8eight I find thier music is appealing to me yet I respected others interest as well. SS501 surely is a good competiter, well with a lot of groups now, let us compete in a healthy way. Anyhow I impressed with SS501 achivement in Japan when they hit if i’m not mistaken 10 or what somehow on the chart. I still trying to listen to their songs and will try to fnd if it will appeal to me. Anyhow for any Dbsk fans, dbsk members never teach us anything only to be well mannered. To be sarcastic is ok but not too strong. Everyone has their own opinons and tought based on their look on music, world and education. Just live happily together. Ok.:) Dbsk is not an idol. They have clearly stated it. They are only humanbeing who happen to be a musican and an artist.
Typo: What I mean is, Dbsk always showed to us how to be well mannered.

@mccormick: Well, I understand your feelings here. I mean what I really believe that when ti comes to music and producing a peice of art is always open to critiscm. It is never related to personal matter. We can be direct, cynical, sarcastic and critical as well as long as we are being objective, suspend our judgment, not being biased, emotionally effected so on and so forth.
I didnt intent to read others topic coz I felt that it is didnt bring me any good to what other peoples interested but I will really respect people who can accept people who really appreciated music and can fairly judge them as a musican itself and suspend any judgement to any other unpleasent things related.
What I mean this in a simple way, both SS501 and Dbsk fans should and have being objective when it comes to music achivement. ِAs gtfo_fangirl asserted the fact could be considered objectively without nothing realted personally as an achievment as an artist and musican. The way she stated it can be question maybe too cynical and sarcastic but the fact of it can be considered.
I dislike any party either it is dbsk fans or any groups didnt judge anything with objectivity. Popularity and great looks is never ever will be my interest in judging an artist or musican. A pure talent indeed will make me tresure their music as much. I first rather be sceptical when I knew Dbsk, i liked then dislike and try to be objective put aside my annoyonce of some of their fans behaviour and judge them as they are their talnet and as a musican. Then after that, I respected them as a musican and artsit that is not perfect yet has a lot potenital that can be develop as they are now.
If people can really know them, not baised, not effected buy some of their crazy fans, didnt feel not like them because insecurity in music world that I recpect those people as well.
On the other hand, I strongly believe that God created people with different interest too. We should respected them and accpeted the fact. Everyone has their own charm that can attrated people to them. That goes with SS501. They have their own charm,talent that make people loved and supported them in whatever reoson they have. That is their choice and judgment. We should respected that.
As myself an a lot others internatinal dbsk fans ( Not Cassies please..:) supoorted them because we objectively believe them capable as a musican and pure talent. As for others group as long as we take the difference in a healthy way and compete with fairness, I respect both parties.

btw: To any dbsk fans outhere including myself and I mostly remind myslef we should respect each other no matter what method in writing and critiscm when we write or comment. Because differences willbe anywhere based on people outlook to the world, defination of pure talent and real music to them, and it is based on their education, upbringing and what they feel closed to them. I respect different opinions that based on equal judgment.

i believed our oppas wouldnt like to see fans criticizing or scolding each other… i like SS501 and their music, likewise for DBSK and others… i like korean music so i respect the singers… so truthfully, i looked down on those who only support their fav ones and then attack the other band/singers who aren’t in their favor. sorry for being straightforward but what i am saying is really how i felt towards those who claimed that they like korean music.

Why are people saying bad things about them? Even if you think they’re not good enough, you guy should say it in a good way!!!! I read some of the comment about dbsk fans bashing SS501, and I get really mad. I’m a fan of DBSK and SS501, and I really like their music. I don’t think SS501 Japanese suck, they’re in Japan less than DBSK do, come on people, you need a brain. “Nobody’s going to like them” YEAH RIGHT!!!!! I like them and they have a lot of fans that like them. We all are waiting for their come back and really missing them. They are not plastic surgery boys either!!!!! People say that because they’re just jelous of the boys.

Like that would ever happen… argh! they’re just jelous that DBSK won #1 on one of the Charts in Japan… while SS501 was in the 19th place…..not to be an Anti-fan, but, SS501 should not be super ambotious enough to ‘overthrow’ DBSK since DBSK is now the MOST popular boyband in ASIA…. what I’m saying is, that SS501 should just try & aim low for mow…like trying to go for TOP 10.
FYI— SS501 didnt really go in #5 in the charts, it was one of their member, whom made a solo single… which means, it DOES NOT include ALL the members…unlike DBSK did.
Yo try dancing and singing like these boys.then see whether do you have the right to judge them or not.
