The movie Lovers for Six Years (or Nothing Special, 6년째 연애중), starring Kim Ha-neul and Yoon Kye-sang, has reached # 1 at the Korean box office 5 days after its release.
The movie follows the story of a live-in couple (oh the horror!) who are bored with their 6 year relationship.
Of course boredom will set in. I say, if you are going to date for 6 long years, you might as well be married…

well this movie was only #1 for a day, Tuesday, and in one site only. the movie didn’t even reach 100,000 when it topped the box-office for a day. because i have been following the box-office. The Best Moment of Our Lives is still dominating the box-office and that is fro 3 days already. the movies that are really in tough competition are The Best Moment of Our Lives a.k.a. Forever the Moment, Once Upon A Time and The Game. since Wednesday Lovers for 6 Years has been in #4.

well, topping the box-office doesn’t mean raking in a million admission. when this movie topped the box-office which was last tuesday, its admission was only around 20,000 or 30,000. and today is it ranking 4th against Forever the Moment with 168,761 admissions, Once Upon a Time 161,111 admissions and The Game 147,474 admission and 6 Years Lovers has 126,176 admission as of this time. well the tickets are continuously being sold so maybe at the end of the day the movie will eventually reach #1. it has to attract more than 40,000 people to overtake the current #1 though.
