HaHa and fellow Infinite Challenge members Yoo Jae Suk, Jung Hyung Don, Park Myung Soo, Jeong Joon Ha, and Noh Hong Cheul, held a guerilla concert yesterday at Yeo Oui Do Park as part of the tiny tot’s send off to his four weeks of military training.
Also present at the concert was HaHa’s teary girlfriend, Ahn Hye Kyung. The not-so-private lovers were very P with their DAs at the concert, with HaHa making sheepish declarations of love to his taller, more mature girlfriend. The Really Really Like You actress even participated in the festivities, shaking an unidentifiable musical instrument while her boyfriend serenaded her.
HaHa will be entering into his four weeks of mandatory training today, before toughing it out at a desk job to fulfill the remaining two years of his military requirement.

Like in High Five, where the cast went to the army for an episode, they saw Kim Tae Woo (I think thats his name) of G.O.D who had to do military service (running for who knows how long) and the officials really didnt care whether you were a celeb or not (-_-)\/

Aww, I’m gonna miss HaHa. I couldn’t help but go “aw” when I read that he sang to his girlfriend. Infinity Challenge won’t be the same without him. Can’t wait for his return in two years.

I dont know why Korea still practising the two years military service. Other then them it is Singapore and Israel.

No, besides medical excuses, there’s no (legal) way to escape the mandatory military duty. Even if you’re married or a new father, you still need to fulfill your service. Recently, though, I think the government has been letting some men be omitted from being drafted if they’ve received a bachelor’s degree, but I’m not too sure about this.

Well, she’s crying probably because… she’ll miss him. Soldiers are allowed visitors, but not everyday. For about two years, she won’t be able to see him very often, only on some days when he’s allowed visitors.

There are plenty of countries that still have a conscription policy, but you’re right, not many countries still have men go for two years. Right now, for SKorea, the mandatory duty is about 24-28 months long. I’m pretty sure there’s been discussion to shorten the period, and maybe even get rid of the draft completely.

@G.Yoo: Thanks for the additional information. Singapore is two full years if i’m not mistaken, Malaysia is three month for high school graduate while they are waiting for their result. Nothing serious just a national service with kayakking, doing flying fox and exercising. It will not implemented too all 17 years old teengers but they was pick randomly.
Btw: Yah, she probally crying with 2 years separation. Itis not easy you know being separated and barely can’t see your loved one when you are in the same country. Well, both of them look so much in loved. May they will be strong to uphold the relationship. They deserved it.
