Jewelry says “One more time” to “Tell me”

jewelry2_popseoul_20080213.jpg

The all-new Jewelry, complete with new plastic finds, are still testing the market but they’ve already been bombarded with accusations of their new tune “One More Time” being modeled after last year’s radio show-stopper, “Tell Me”. Riding on Wondergirls’ long drawn out reign of Korea’s music play, Jewelry decided to pick up on their winning formula of a trot/disco image. But this was not without adding a huge pinch of sexy into the whole package.

While some may be anticipating a whirlwind comeback for the Jewelry girls, some have contested this by seeing it as bastardizing the innocent and happy recollections of the 80s portrayed by Wondergirls. I can even foresee those policemen who danced along to “Tell Me” looking away in disgust. Is it too early to tell or have the Jewelry girls already bowled their album into the gutter?

    umm…it’s not even catchy lol
    and…. i’ve even forgotten the melody :p

  2. 2 saib00gu February 14, 2008 at 9:01 am

I don’t know why… but when I listen to this song, I feel like galloping on an imaginary horse.

  3. 3 janepak February 14, 2008 at 9:06 am

they could have at least done better with the music video =/
    it’s so corny..

park jung ah should’ve remained solo .. she has amazing voice ..

  4. 4 johnnydorama February 14, 2008 at 9:18 am

many men in my country would find 2 of the members very sexxxxy… manly dyke hair and horse face, not so much…

  5. 5 joyce February 14, 2008 at 9:44 am

it doesnt sound like tell me (i didnt catch the craze sorry.. i adore yoobin unnie, sunmi, and sunye and i find sohee cute sometimes but that’s about it for my wg liking)

i really, really like park jung ah.. she has a healthy figure and she can actually sing..
but this is just too much

  6. 6 lilkrnxangel420 February 14, 2008 at 10:21 am

it doesn’t sound like tell me at all. it’s annoying how they computerized their voices throughout the WHOLE song and as for their ’sex appeal’, they are trying wayyy too hard.

  7. 7 Annie February 14, 2008 at 10:31 am

It sounds… boring.. Park Jung Ah looks really cute with the short hair. Seo In young is so scary and manly looking. ew. She ruins it. Time for Park Jung Ah to ditch theses girls.

  8. 8 wow February 14, 2008 at 10:56 am

the mv looks like a cheap production
and i see nothing like Tell Me =/
    my first impression is just..cheap.

  9. 9 KyuMin February 14, 2008 at 11:17 am

the beat is almost similar to WG “Tell Me”

  10. 10 izzie February 14, 2008 at 11:23 am

My god, what a waste of talents.
    I want to hear their ballad song. – _-;

  11. 11 studentgirl February 14, 2008 at 12:05 pm

It’s different~ definitely has that sexy pinch in it.
The only similarity I see is the 80s style, and that can always be redone with a different flair. Bada also had a 80s retro image for her single Queen, even before “Tell Me” came out, they both did well.

  12. 12 Matthew February 14, 2008 at 1:00 pm

I can’t even express how this sucks. The MV songs, the song sucks, their looks sucks. It’s amazing how Park Jung Ah and Seo In Young came out with such a crappy song after their successful solo debuts.

  13. 13 kodoque February 14, 2008 at 2:08 pm

    that was…..painful.

  14. 14 spin February 14, 2008 at 2:15 pm

    they suck.

they look like they should be singing in a blue collar bar – in the afternoon.

A truck stop could work too.

  15. 15 penguin_x3 February 14, 2008 at 2:19 pm

OMGOSH!! I thought I was the only one that thought it sounded THAI!! I so agree with you Dickson, if you listen to this song really carefully, it sounds so freakin Thai with some Korean or something…Jung Ah Hwaitting!!

  16. 16 christina February 14, 2008 at 2:30 pm

ummm I like the Wondergirls much better. One More Time is like too electronic….it’s really computerized, and the Wonder Girls’ mv was better too.

  17. 17 Raihana February 14, 2008 at 2:40 pm

    screaming ugly..

  18. 18 Gaby February 14, 2008 at 2:43 pm

It may not sound like “Tell Me” but the some of the moves do look like “Tell Me”

  19. 19 han February 14, 2008 at 3:06 pm

    the music is………

  20. 20 bi February 14, 2008 at 3:06 pm

this is much worse than tell me.
no hook and some used to be pretty half dolls.

  21. 21 ginger vitality February 14, 2008 at 3:08 pm

Gah! I didnt bother to watch it. Second @ Remadi. I can’t ever like the WG song ” Tell Me ” what more from this Jewelry group. It is too much and over done on how they potrayed themselves.

  22. 22 helen February 14, 2008 at 3:16 pm

this song sounds a little like in-grid’s “you promised me”. koreans have obviously mastered “sampling” other people’s work. ugh.

  23. 23 helen February 14, 2008 at 3:20 pm

    http://youtube.com/watch?v=Ja6r9dHqheI

it’s very similar, but jewelry ruined a good song.

  24. 24 what? February 14, 2008 at 3:28 pm

its like a cross between csjh’s music video and the wonder girls’ tell me dance moves, only with cheap hookers on a low budget. they are nowhere near the level of either of these groups.

  25. 25 vivi February 14, 2008 at 3:43 pm

they look like they’re doing a CF not an MV.. pretty girls but baddddd music >O<

  26. 26 lizzie February 14, 2008 at 3:44 pm

“can they stop doing the wave dance thingy all throughout the video”

    HAHAH Ditto.
    It’s just a disgrace.

  27. 27 junsu(DBSK)fan February 14, 2008 at 3:47 pm

why does it remind me of CSJH? LOLL..
    it’s kinda annoying..the song..

  28. 28 KC February 14, 2008 at 3:53 pm

Truthfully I don’t see any resemblence to Tell Me. But I wish they stuck less to dance songs and more to the poppier, ballady songs that they use to sing. Cause One More Time definitely does not showcase their singing talents which Park Jung Ah has so much of. Another thing, the dance chereo is … And too much of Seo In Young. *shivers* I like the least pretty rapper more than Seo In Young.

  29. 29 jyyjc February 14, 2008 at 3:57 pm

i like park jung ah but why did she and suh in young have to form this group again….
they will not survive as long as wg, kara, snsd are alive and with the younger girl groups to come..

  30. 30 Heroine February 14, 2008 at 4:04 pm

I liked the last scene, but that was it O_O

    it’s not very catchy

  31. 31 Doraemon February 14, 2008 at 5:31 pm

    AHHH fugly sluts

omfg Suh In Young’s new nose is so fake..
eww this is disgusting. and i thougth tell me was annoying
    hahah

  32. 32 daneil February 14, 2008 at 5:45 pm

    this song is weakkkkkk

  33. 33 ... February 14, 2008 at 6:17 pm

    The song is weak.
I thought it’s one more time, ok by csjh the grace since i see the one more time.
it’s weaker than tell me, at least tell me is more addicting then this..
stop repeating the waves, it’s getting irritating.
stop acting sexy, don’t you know how many young children are picking up these slutty moves -.-

  34. 34 yvelineisme February 14, 2008 at 6:46 pm

    yesyes!
    i love parkjungah.
    but why does she……
    join them?T.T

  35. 35 jaenie February 14, 2008 at 7:34 pm

sounds nothing like “tell me” but the songs straight SUCKS!

  36. 36 jj February 14, 2008 at 7:42 pm

    just a complete abysmal… pray to god these girls have some crazy fans to support their pathetic song -_-;;

  37. 37 gobuki February 14, 2008 at 8:49 pm

  38. 38 jrizzle February 14, 2008 at 10:28 pm

    most.ANNOYING.song.EVERRRR

  39. 39 lynnette February 14, 2008 at 11:08 pm

that is seriously NOT nice! yeeeeeew

  40. 40 bird February 14, 2008 at 11:49 pm

i can’t decide which is worse, the lack of clothes or their endless writhing

  41. 41 jeemka February 15, 2008 at 1:40 am

Well, this song sounds a lot like this one French song that was all the rave in Europe when I was in junior high like six years ago. Maybe it’s the freaky harmonica(?) beat, I dunno.

  42. 42 keletam February 15, 2008 at 1:40 am

well i think i am the only one who liked the song
    but the MV~~~~~~ i didn’t like it
but i like their make up kekekekeke
i think they must make a new MV

  43. 43 Katt February 15, 2008 at 4:14 am

Boring && BIG yawn!!! I kipped half of it but I kinda like it LOL its not as good as tell me but they tried…

  44. 44 .... February 15, 2008 at 5:35 am

i couldn’t even finish it. the song was so awkward. the only thing i liked about it was park jung ah. D:

  45. 45 suga February 15, 2008 at 6:09 am

err not catchy at all, but rather slutty lol
not digging the european melody -.-

  46. 46 Kay February 15, 2008 at 7:06 am

I hate Tell Me, but I’ve found a song that’s even more annoying.

    This.

Park Jung-Ah should definitely get away from this.
    She’s too good to waste.

  47. 47 Haejee February 15, 2008 at 7:29 am

why’s that one girl with the cornrows always have something over her face?
is she like trying to hide plastic surgery or something? she’s wearing either sunglasses or a hat through the whole freaking video.
i’m sorry, but none of them are pretty.
    and this sounds nothing like tell me -_-;;

  48. 48 Melissa February 15, 2008 at 8:36 am

    It doesn’t have to sound like ‘Tell Me’ to be a knockoff. That was channeling a LOT of WG in the song. It was like, Irony and Tell Me with some really bad and annoying waves that just wouldn’t stop. -_-;;;

  49. 49 ayumi February 15, 2008 at 9:30 am

actually, its not that bad…it grew on mee..

  50. 50 Rachael February 15, 2008 at 10:34 am

its like tell me fergailicious. ew.
