This singer has been MIA for a while, but she is back with a bang or that’s what her PR wants us to believe. Can you recognize who she is?

It’s Zhang Li Yin, one of Father SM’s many manifestations. She’s gone back to her roots and made an official debut in China with her first Mandarin album. As usual, the package includes little “gifts” from our Kpop Santa.
Super Junior’s Han Kyung and Choi Si-won will star with actress Lee Yeon Hee in the MV for “星愿 (I will)” (星愿 literally translates as ’star wish’ and has almost the same pronunciation as ‘wish’ in Mandarin). Han Kyung also scores another feature in her song “初恋 (First Love)”. In addition, she has recorded “One more try” in preparation for a Chinese victory in the August Olympics.
Along with the new tracks are also enclosed her hits from last year “Timeless” and “Y (why…)”. An ambitious and possibly underestimated musician as she is, looks to be out in full force. With Zhang Li Yin back in the scene and casting her net wider, amassing more fans from the mother land, it’s no doubt that she will make a bigger name for herself in 2008. But is she really just a Plain Jane or will she be able to live up to her mentor’s hopes of becoming a Chinese BoA?

I really love zhang liyin….. really natural and pure beauty. she doesn’t need any idiot plastic surgery just like most of other korean entertainer had done to themselves just wanted to have perfect face. really idiot. just thanks to GOD for giving you face,nose,eyes lips and others. thanks to god that you didn’t born as a retarded person. they’re just wasting their money and times by doing plastic surgery which you can spend it at better place.

What I don’t get is why people who SUCK at singing, lack talents in dance, and look like horses (cough *WONDERGIRLS* cough) are so popular, when people who can actually SING like Zhang Li Yin don’t get as much popularity… O_o
Anyways, wish her the best of luck in China. Hopefully, she’ll make a new single or CD in the Korean market again, so that people don’t have to listen to the same songs that suck over and over again and can actually listen to someone who has some vocal talent.

People here are so shallow. She looks better than the average Jane. People expect her to look like the typical
plastic Korean dolls. Her voice is strong and deep enough for my liking. This is exactly what I need after listening to many years of weak, artificial voices who only sing bubblegum pops with their fake cutesy, tootsey-roll personalities that only little girls and boys enjoy.

She’s never done any Korean plastic surgery. The old picture that was “supposed” to be her wasn’t even her. Some anti posted that picture and claimed that it was JRI, but her classmates in China confirmed that it wasn’t even her. If you want to look at the real JRI before her debut, look @ the picture she took with Kwon Yuri. She looks exactly the same.
I can understand why everyone is angry that LSM called JRI the Chinese BoA. I felt the same way when Koreans called BoA the Asian Britney when Britney was at her prime and sane.

I’ve listened to her new songs and she’s improved incredibly. Her voice is alot smoother and more powerful than before. And if you listen to her recent lives, you can tell she’s been practicing. This girl has got some serious talent.
But I listened to her Korean version of I will…it sounds like her Korean got worse. I knwo she’s been spending alot of time in China, but if she wants to sing again and make it in the Kpop industry, she might want to refine her korean pronunciation skills again. Timeless wasn’t so bad, but in the SM winter 2007 and her latest releases, her Korean is heavily accented and not many Koreans will go crazy over that.
And that is a horrible picture of her. She really is prettier than that…or at least she was. She’s lost way too much weight. She was raelly pretty in the 2006 SM Winter and also her Timeless single. Sheame she starved herself…
She’s got a better voice and range than Boa but I seriously doubt anyone will be able to reach her level.
