Funny guy Noh Hong Chul was in no laughing state when he was attacked outside of his home by a mental patient. The suspect waited for the loud comedian and attacked him leaving a 3mm deep laceration on his ear.
The 27 year old attacker who suffers from schizophrenia said to police that the reason he attacked Noh Hong Chul was because he claimed that Noh harmed his father and later regretfully admitted to hurting Noh Hong Chul. A mental examination will be done to determine if the mental patient will be prosecuted as a mentally fit or unfit criminal.
The comedian is currently recovering at a hospital where he has received 3 stitches on his left ear and doctors say Noh Hong Chul will need at least 3 weeks of recovery time.

Awww poor guy! He’s really funny and a decent human being, just watched him in the first episode of Change. Hope Noh Hong Chul gets better soon so we can see his laughing self back on TV again.
really the craziest thing is noh doesn’t want to press charges. mental guy needs to be rehabilitated, kept off streets etc. not slide by this noble celeb’s sympathy, that’s just marking time for the next crazy attack (think Namdaemun.)
