Rain premiered Samsung’s version of the Beijing Olympic theme song at the Samgsung-Rain Press Conference yesterday, looking like a character from an Asian version of Austin Powers.
Rain will start filming the MV on the 22nd and the new Ninja will perform the song on August 8th, 2008.

Sadly, plans can be so fluid for these stars. I think accepting the ninja role means the english album and debut as a singer Stateside is on hold indefinitely, he is conveniently keeping mum about the change in plans - which will make some ppl and antis happy.

Even though much has been said about his “USA debut” - he still needs to be in Asia - whether Korea, China blah blah. There’s much money to be made in Asia. Where else can he get US$1 million for a CF? It’s easy money. I don’t see it happening in America.
He’s supposedly debuting in the USA as an actor. But if he ever does release an album, he’ll have to sell at least half a million copies to “make it”. Anything less than that would be considered dismal.
