That’s right. HOT’s Kangta will be carted off to the military for 2 years on April 1st, 2008. But before leaving the limelight, the 29 year old singer will drop his 4th album, “Eternity” in the middle of March 2008. Also, so fans can catch another glimpse of the star, he will have a goodbye concert at Yonsei University Auditorium on March 29th.
Good bye Kangta. Let’s hope that you become a real man after 2 years of hard training.

maybe someone more familiar with kpop can answer my question: given that most of the SM stars left the company as soon as their contracts are over, why has Kangta stayed with SM for this many years? I am not saying it is wrong to stay with LSM, I am just curious — does he have shares of the company? Are he and LSM on very good terms so he gets lots of freedom in doing what he wants?

I’m also slightly peeved that all of his other solo albums started with the letter P (Polaris, Pine Tree, Persona), but this one doesn’t. But judging from the picture, it looks like the album will be very classy and awesome.

Ah, the mini-album is beautiful and very Kang Ta. It’s full of his ballads, with those titles and themes sure to make the fans cry once he’s gone in a few weeks. His recent performance…I think he was pretty close to tears himself.
