Haisu and her hubby strive to be campus couples

Harisu_20080304_popseoul

Korea’s number 1 transsexual Harisu and his her hubby enrolled in Jangan University, a no name school in Seoul to prep for their future adoption. They were informed that a college degree is a must for adoption, which motivated these two to apply as entertainment majors.

Jangan University was so desperate for some press coverage that they even offered these two unconventional couple a scholarship to attend their school.

The freshman’s expression on the left sums up how we feel about the couple. Enough said.

  5. 5 saewon March 4, 2008 at 3:54 pm

why do they need a scholarship?
shouldn’t she be able to afford college?
    strange.

  6. 6 Jennifer March 4, 2008 at 3:56 pm

Harisu looks manlier than her husband.

  9. 9 Shin March 4, 2008 at 4:49 pm

Gosh, the lengths an institution would go to for publicity? O________o

On a sidenote, yes the banner is lookin’ good :) Though, allowing HyoLee to take the most significant position/amount of space…In the name of scorn, much?

  10. 10 Jackie March 4, 2008 at 4:51 pm

they need a college agree to adopt? Seriously? No wonder Korea exports all its orphans!

Her husband is girlier lookin than her!

  11. 11 lalala March 4, 2008 at 5:10 pm

POPSEOUL, I LOVE THE NEW BANNER!

  12. 12 ALYN March 4, 2008 at 6:24 pm

What’s to cringe about? They’re happy together and want to have a child. So?

  13. 13 monalisa March 4, 2008 at 6:28 pm

The ‘r’ is missing from Harisu’s name in the heading, popseoul.

  14. 14 Dumpling March 4, 2008 at 7:50 pm

    What an embarrassment.

  15. 15 Aya (Not logged in) March 4, 2008 at 8:23 pm

Haha at the person on the left making that face. Awesome.

  16. 16 funkoffan March 4, 2008 at 8:27 pm

Good for them. I hope they get to adopt. A child should have two loving parents - not just two people who are made up of a male and female.

  17. 17 allay March 4, 2008 at 9:06 pm

    Haisu, popseoul?

haRisu looks manly in that picture. hahaha i wonder if his her husband is happy now

  18. 18 Asia March 5, 2008 at 12:13 am

I didn’t know you needed a degree to adopt. It’s great that they’re so dedicated to starting a family.

  19. 19 Tara March 5, 2008 at 1:30 am

does this mean her husband is gay?? lol i get so confused on their orientation with transsexual couples…and i agree, harisu does look more manlier then her husband… hahaha

  20. 20 Kristen March 5, 2008 at 1:57 am

Tara, no, because Harisu is legally considered a woman, with many similar features of a woman. I mean, that’s just logically, but I have heard that the way this works is: if Harisu was interested in women, then she would be a lesbian.

  21. 21 Brina March 5, 2008 at 3:43 am

Damn. She should have stuck with the feminine nose, and not this big crap she has now. She looked like a woman before and now she just looks in between.

  22. 22 DotOrg March 5, 2008 at 4:24 am

MAN!! Is that what it takes to get a scholarship nowadays. Wow, all that hard work for nothing! I guess, I’ll just pretend I’m a she-male, get “married” and get a bad nose job. Oh well.. I’m pleased that they are willing to work hard to adopt. I’m 110% pro-adoption advocate. Too many kids need homes. Maybe not my dysfunctional home, but a real nice one like Harisu’s….ehhh…eheheh?

  23. 23 Evercool March 5, 2008 at 4:28 am

she should not have had that surgery.

  24. 24 ed March 5, 2008 at 5:45 am

haha maybe “freshman” is embarrassed to be seen going to a no name school.
GROAN~ like a college degrees weeds out child abusers, people who can’t bond with kids or “love it until we conceive our own”, people who use kids as vanity symbols, etc.

  25. 25 lim33853 March 5, 2008 at 6:48 am

is that person w/ all pink holding her hands praying and crying?

“god, what did i do to deserve this? what sins did i break for you to put me next to these freaks? ill do anything you ask.”

  26. 26 for real March 5, 2008 at 7:33 am

that’s retarded; a school giving scholarship cuz they’re celebs?!? what the freak, they should give it to students in economic hardship or with high gpa! stupid school

  27. 27 Dumpling March 5, 2008 at 8:19 am

“she should not have had that surgery.”

She?? You DO know this is a man you’re talking about, right?

“Too many kids need homes. Maybe not my dysfunctional home, but a real nice one like Harisu’s”

Sure. A home where one parent is so mind-bogglingly screwed up that he couldn’t even accept his own gender. And another parent who is almost as equally screwed up that he would “marry” someone so obviously insane. And both parents have the audacity to bring a child into such a life.

“now she just looks in between.”

He *is* in between. This is a MAN who had his body butchered, pulled, stretched, injected and stuffed to *attempt* to look like a woman. I’d call that being in between.

“A child should have two loving parents - not just two people who are made up of a male and female.”

    Wrong.

  28. 28 Sakura March 5, 2008 at 8:25 am

oh dumpling…. you can go f**k yourself

  29. 29 Zee March 5, 2008 at 9:09 am

….harisu’s lookin’ more and more manly…
    disgusting.

  30. 30 selina March 5, 2008 at 9:25 am

    Good for them :)
    Dumpling, you’re a moron.

  31. 31 lilkrnxangel420 March 5, 2008 at 9:38 am

they offered THEM a scholarship? … i’m sure there are many others out there that deserve a scholarship..

  32. 32 Love-Peace-Music March 5, 2008 at 9:55 am

ROFL! i love the girl on the left’s expression.

  33. 33 Tiffany March 5, 2008 at 12:46 pm

Students tend to enter University in hope of having a good career in their future (well, that is, unless you’re some really rich kid - by then, you can use money to get good grades or just your popularity). But to enter University in order to adopt? That’s a new reason to continue your studies. Pretty cool, yet hilariously adorable.

As for the scholarship thing, that is quite strange. There are a lot more students out there who need a scholarship in order to get into University/college, or to stay in school. I personally know people who have to pay for all their fees on their own (it might happen to me one day if I don’t try harder) and some who can’t even study because of financial problems. It is a shame to give so much money to people who are capable of paying. The same goes to OSAP. Some students get away with money when they don’t even need it. Instead, they spend it all on booze or on clothing when those few thousands could be spent on students who do not have the money to enter school, or on other governmental problems (i.e. better health care).

is harisu really a transexual or is popseoul saying that??
    im confused

  35. 35 popseouls March 5, 2008 at 5:35 pm

    popseoul is transexual

  36. 36 funkoffan March 5, 2008 at 7:51 pm

Oh my God Dumpling - what is your problem? So you believe that a baby is better off having any kind of parents as long as one was born with a penis and the other with a vagina - their ability to raise / care for the child is unimportant? Give me a break.

  37. 37 bogul March 6, 2008 at 12:04 am

ever since i saw the picture of harisu as a man, i can’t help but see the face as a he. kudos for not taking surgery to the hilt, but man.. i can’t help but see harisu as the former self. i think harisu would whup my ass if provoked. i think she beats her husband when mad!

might sound a bit ignorant, but the husband, didn’t know harisu as a man, right? or is he gay?

  38. 38 Optimisticboy March 12, 2008 at 4:37 pm

    Lorielle said wrong.
Harisu is more beautiful than the natural woman!!!
She has no parts of man, even her pussy, except her chromosome XY?XXY? It was removed since 1995.
On my own eye she is the real woman forever………..
    I said the truth…………….

  39. 39 lily queen April 6, 2008 at 3:29 pm

Wow, POPSEOUL, your writers seem so … bigoted and backwards. There seems to be a lot of childish fear coming through in every post about Harisu. Pretty embarrassing! Might want to think about why it bothers you so much, and try to strive for a professional, journalistic tone when you write about her.
