Boa’s new album, “The Face” has hit #1 in Japan. This is Boa’s 6th album to reach the top spot on Oricon’s Weekly Charts since her debut in 2001. However, if you include the “Best of Soul” released in 2005, that’s a record of 7 #1 albums! More than any other Japanese artist! And she’s Korean too!
In less than a week, the “The Face” sold 111 thousand copies.

Why are there all these people bashing BoA on an articles about her? Jeez, don’t like her or don’t think she deserves it, don’t reply/read this. Nobody asked you to.
I personally don’t think that BoA’s going through a decline. Every artist hits slumps; BoA’s been at it for seven years; obviously, she’ll have low points.
And about DBSK. I support and love both BoA and DBSK, and I believe what DBSK did in Japan is awesome; they have established themselves as respectable artists with a large fanbase. However, consider this. BoA’s first Japanese album, Listen to my heart, sold over 1,700,000 (I think, correct me if I’m wrong) copies; DBSK has not crossed the 100,000 mark. Even Kat-tun, when they first debuted, sold over 500,000 albums in 2006. DBSK is certainly well-known, but not, as so many claim, quite in the list of the top artists in Japan. I apologize to any DBSK fans (and hey, I am one myself), but that’s the truth.
all the people that say she does not have any talented is just simply a bunch of ignorant, idiot…She is EXTREMELY talented. Good voice, wonderful dancing skill. She is one of the few truely great performers in Asia, No in the world. Her live tours are so entertaining and magnificient.She is also down to earth personality and ver very pretty.
