Nikon’s latest commercial for the new D300 DSLR features Rain as a National Geographic-esque photographer in exotic Cambodia.
But no matter how adept a photographer the commercial makes Rain appear to be, or how well he rolls his R’s in the sexy voiceover, I just can’t bring myself to spend on a camera with a $1800 price tag–and that’s excluding the price of a decent lens.

I really like the Nikon commercial….it captures everything about photography that makes the art so addicting.
canon beats nikon anyday. i’m just glad they were smart enough not to ink drizzle for their ads.

~While watching 10,000 B.C. in theaters, I saw the Speed Racer trailer and that version showed a glimpse of Bi’s back for like a .01 sec …..what a shame.

Speed racer WAS based on an old Japanese cartoon.
Speed Racer is in fact an anime (Japanese animation) that was made in 1960s. Orginally, the title was Mach GoGoGo and in North American version “Mach 5″ but the dubbing changed the title to “Speed Racer”. Of course, you see the trailer to be in anime style.
People in America really liked this anime in 1960s because of the conspiracy stories. So I figured this movie would contain the conspiracy story since I saw the throwing stars and kung fun fighting in the trailer.

I’ve already made plans to see Speed Racer and I haven’t changed my mind yet. For some reason the racing seems interesting. It looks like the early Mario Kart games for Nintendo DS. I’m guessing Rain plays the obnoxious bad guy in this movie? I hope they don’t blow him up or something.
Wish I was that Nikon camera Rain’s got his pretty hands all over.
WTH, people are saying it’s too ’sad’ that he’s shown on the trailer for about .01 sec. His part was just a supporting role; it’s great that he even merited .01 seconds in the trailer.
On the full-length trailer, Rain had more exposure than Matthew Fox who played the villain in the movie. Now THAT was a shame (for Matthew, that is).
As for Nikon… expert photographers and photography enthusiasts actually rate Nikon DSLRs higher than some Canon models. Canon kicks Nikon’s ass on the point-and-shoot models, though.

About the Engrish… c’mon, go easy on the guy. The CF is supposed to be for Korean audiences, not for the people of America. Naturally, he has to use their own way of speaking English or else he would not be understood.
I am reserving my judgment on his newfound English skills until I see him talk spontaneously on a full English interview.

I agree, he’s lucky he even got one second in the trailer! He has more scenes than the main villain! Whatever, I’ll go see it to see Rain’s “English”, and his acting skills. Although, this movie does seem, I don’t know, not my style. It’s all opinion though.

i wasnt really interested in making any comments for any celebrities but when i started seeing korean tv series it really caught my attention and now rain is one of my favorite korean stars coz he is not just a singer but has so much talents. surfing websites containing all about rain make me saddened when i found all the negative rumors and comments about him but reading those negative news didnt change the admiration i have for rain i still like him and wishing him goodluck and more power!
