Choi Ji Woo attended the LVMH party last Friday, March 14th and according to the Hong Kong media, she was completely wasted and behaved inappropriately in front of the paparazzis.
Choi Ji Woo and her reps strongly denied these reports and stated that she didn’t drink at all and left the party around midnight. And they spun this incident as another Chinese media conspiracy to bring down Hallyu stars.

i used to like her, but after seeing her monotonous acting, i became indifferent on her. yeah, sure she is still a major Hallyu Star who could not sell her work in her homeland lately…her moment is gone…too bad, she didn’t successfully transform herself into a serious actress in the likes of Son Ye Jin, who has gone far in her career in having crossover from innocent looking to a serious actress.
The government doesn’t have that much political control over HK’s media and entertainment industry, it’s a misconception most foreigners have about China and its relations with Hong Kong.
And as some have already said, the paparazzi media makes up crap all over the world, and furthermore the Chinese media trashes EVERYONE. That said, there isn’t vendetta against Hallyu stars in China or Japan or any country that have fans of these stars. Of course, people tend to see it that way because some people only view things in skin color and race.

Olive9 released evidence in a press statement of two photos placed side-by-side. The doctored photo (left) was compared to the one released by CCTV website (right). Olive9 suggested that the Chinese media did something to the original photo in order to create “malicious” news to hurt Choi Ji Woo’s image.

In the first side-by-side picture where CYF was holding CJW, I don’t think she was drunk then. If you look at the background, it looks like that they were in the balcony outside of the LV store. The actual “party” was held in a tent. Kanye West performed there and supposedly CJW was having fun and left the “tent” at midnight looking wasted. I think the media mixed the pictures just to deceive the readers. This didn’t mean that CJW didn’t get drunk by the end of the party but it affirmed that Olive9 explanation (how she was surprised by CYF) might be right.
