I am not of Korean heritage but I do believe that Koreans are beautiful and the culture makes them more beautiful than their physical attributes.

Kim Jaedong is beautiful inside, he is humble and smart.

Each time I see KJD on tv, never a moment passes when his colleagues tease him about his looks. One even said ‘You’re ugly’ to his face! Why are people so obsessed about looks? It doesn’t matter if he’s good looking or not. In the end, he’s hilarious and a really good MC. At least this shows that his fans and those who enjoy watching him like him for his talent and his hard work. Only liking people for their looks shows how naive and materialistic people are. Looks may be a plus, but in terms of being a well-rounded celebrity in the entertainment industry, it’s the stuff they do and the hard work they go through that makes them become respected. Then again, there are always people out there who rather look at someone who is “pretty/handsome” but is a complete airhead, rather than something who is more “average looking” but is a true entertainer. Last but not least, it shows that he is confident about himself, as well as his sister. In this world, what is beauty anyway? Even if someone is pretty or handsome, what’s the chances of them not getting some form of plastic surgery, especially if they are popular celebrities? The only way to tell is by looking at their childhood pictures, but even then, people change as they grow up. To me, I think insulting people about their looks is a really low class insult. After all, there are others out there who will agree with you that someone is ugly, but think of all the other people who think you’re ugly as a person, too.

Also, its one thing to critique a celeb who is the spotlight and knows they will take some flak for one thing or another, fair or not but to critique his sister who isn’t? Thats the same as going up to some random person in the street and telling them they are butt ugly.
