Se7en must be having a hard time swallowing POPSEOUL!’s review of his White Day party, for he unleashed his promoters to spam our comment section and to send us malicious emails.
How unfortunate because POPSEOUL! has no plans to retract or stop expressing our opinions. But we do have several tips for Se7en and his PR camp to better handle the situation in the future.
1) Hold interviews in English
What’s the point of hosting a party in NYC if you cannot hold a simple interview in English? Last Friday night was the perfect opportunity for Se7en to practice, but I guess the ESL student wasn’t up for the challenge.
2) Learn to take the heat
Have you ever heard of the phrase “No publicity is bad publicity,” or “There’s no such thing as bad press”? Realize that there will be unfavorable articles and learn to take criticisms gracefully, since you are a public figure – albeit a small one.
3) Hire better promoters
It looks like promoters Rainstone Live and BaseNYC didn’t do their homework when they sent us Se7en’s White Day Party invitations. POPSEOUL! was, and always will be an opinion driven blog that infuses sarcasm and humor into every article. But Nelson from Rainstone Live thought POPSEOUL! was a fan site and when he found out that it wasn’t, he left a lengthy comment and sent us an email that states
Harry tell steve to tell popseoul, they will never be invited to any events rainstone live / swerve / base puts together or is involved in.
I guess Nelson is incapable of sending his own emails since he had to ask two people to email us a simple message.
4) Refrain from inviting POPSEOUL! in the future
If last week’s White Day Party is the best you can do, please refrain from sending us invitations. We do not want to waste our time and money on events that lack substance and professionalism.

everyone says this is just a blog…and that’s exactly it. why would a blog be entitled to an interview with se7en?? like everyone says, this is not a legit media source so WHY would he choose this over all the legit media outlets that wanted an interview?? once you start thinking you’re entitled to things that you’re really not, that’s when you’ll be disappointed. so don’t mistake or label YOUR disappointment as se7en’s failure.
and he was a HOST! what part of the word HOST do people not understand?? did people really expect him not to be closed off in a VIP section? did people really think he would be out on the dance floor asking for a death wish?? and what else was he supposed to say when he got up there…?? did people expect a conversation?? first off, it’s not even like the crowd was too responsive b/c everyone was too busy recording everything so that they could be the first to put it out on youtube. second, he said what he had to say about his album and that’s that.
i don’t know why it’s so hard for some people to stomach the mere possibility of someone else’s success. maybe the reason why no asian artists have succeeded is b/c we are all so damn critical and not supportive. if we don’t support them, how do we ever expect anyone else to??
@ amber:yup..yup..i want to know also
what? Se7en is getting more bad publicity than Rain?
AMEN!
just kidding folks. I’m worry about this kid too. nah. not really, haha.
LOL this is funny. i don’t care about se7en or any of this but it’s long and hilarious to read.
but from what i’ve read from the comments, i’d have to go with popseoul on this one.
keep it coming girls!
456. Impressive.
other random comments:
threatening to reveal personal information? that is low.
why shouldn’t popseoul be allowed to bash and criticize? it’s their blog, that’s what they do. so what if they delete comments? i’d delete comments on my blog if i find offensive.
haven’t you guys heard of Blackwell’s list and other stuff like that? and reviews for these club events? celebrities and events are criticized all the time, it’s a part of the business that they can’t avoid. but really, i guess it’s the club’s promoters can’t take the heat.
people just need to get that stick out of their ass and move on.
oooh i’m 456!! lol.
aww. 457 then lol. oops now 458! hahaha.
Ive been reading Popseoul! for a while now, and I will never agree with your stupid blasting, ever, because you only look at these people as celebrities and never as HUMANS. Sometimes you disgust me…but right now, I agree with what your saying…kind of (like 1%)I think Seven should try to develop some originality, like incorporating korean traditional music or something that makes him stick out…like ….CLAZZIQUAI!!
NOTE: I would rather read Dramabeans anyday
don’t trash se7en peps.
it’s the stupid P.R’s
they should hire better ones
This whole thing is stupid The Title “Se7en can’t handle the heat” is misleading making everyone thing se7en can’t take the criticism.
WOOOOOOOOOW….these are probably the most interesting comments i have ever seen.
I’m really tired right now so i’ll put in my 2 cents later
stay tuned =DD
ahahahaha
You guys write really mean things…He is trying his hardest, and you guys keep bagging on him. Listen, if you think he is doing ssoo bad, how about supporting him and wish him luck. INstead of always bring him down. He DOES have feelings, and he only took that action because he doesn’t deserve it. He’ll do fine in America, and he’ll get the hang of English soon. You can’t expect him to know it just like that. I would get pissed to for inviting people, and then have them insult me on a blog. IF you haven’t noticed, blogging is the new most read media. Stop giving him a hard time and giving bad articles. You are crossing the line with this article and probably more.
Se7en needs to be more aggresive. Any U.S. media attention he gets, he needs to embrace. If he isn’t ready for English reporters now, then when is he ever going to be? Because I don’t believe he’s ever going to become fluent anytime THIS YEAR, and doesn’t he want it to happen this year? He already missed his chance in 2007.
Also, I’ve watched that video of him speaking at the club. I really hope he doesn’t just pick up all the english slang terms cuz it kind of sounds ridiculous and unnatural coming from a Korean-Korean. I feel like he’s just trying to hard with the “Yo check it out… wassup” talk. I hope he’s being taught some proper english, rather than just the “hip-hop talk”.
These people (Se7en, Bi, and their PR) need to be careful how they handle everything, because it may end up embarassing all Asians about us wanting to be part of the top R&B/hip-hop/pop music industry.
Honestly, in my opinion… I think we’re much better off trying to get an Asian-American to hit success here first before trying to ship Asians from other countries here. If they’re gonna be foreigners, they have to bring something a little NEW. When Shakira introduced herself in the U.S., she brought a different type of flavor to pop, you get me? I don’t know… I’m very skeptical with all this.
it’s deadly entertaining!!!!!!
now i understand what PopSeoul is all about, criticsm!!!!
poor seven, being attacking a bit and can’t handle it.
just go back to mama little boy!!!!
he’s not smart, not even the profesionals behind him.
how could he dare to set feet on american soil????
it’s not a blink blink american dream lil boy, it’s rough!!!
hmmm… those who are weak would be pull aside
I’d love to see more vids of him talking in english. I sincerely hope he’s learning how to talk proper english too, because hiphop slang that’s so fly nowadays coming from a korean-korean will only cause making serious fun of…
nina is a fcuking mor0n. lol. prolly reads at a 3rd grade level. LMAO
slang or no slang…how come NOONE gives him credit for his accent being WAYYYYY better then let’s say BI? i almost fell over laughing when i heard bi’s interview in english.
also….i’ve met bi before when he was in the states & he is the most UNFRIENDLIEST..wouldn’t even take a picture, covering his face. at least se7en takes pictures with his fans.
i went to the bi show last year at msg. omg, he was SO BAD in english. borderline embarassing. people were laughing. se7en wasnt so bad. it sounds more natural. i dont think there is anything “black or hip hop” about saying, “whats up new york” or “i have a new album dropping in the states this year, and it goes a little something like this ya’ll”. It sounds completely normal to me. stop hating on se7en oppa
WORD.
and se7en probably learned his english from people in YG like danny & teddy and the probably speak like that.
also, my friend went to that bi concert and she went to to usher concert too and she said bi’s routine was the SAME EXACT as ushers.
opinion driven blog that infuses sarcasm and humor into every article?
no srsly, popseoul. you’re kidding when you say you have a sense of humour right? and please, sarcasm? more like outright slamming. not that i care about se7en or whatever but come on, dont make me laugh!
lol though.
Haha.
“Harry tell steve to…”
XDDD
WOW.
Spin, You’re a punk*** idiot.
You had to wait to call out the so called black groupies on the internet. Why didn’t you say it when it was space and opportunity at the club that night? Why didn’t you say when you quoted that post from the forum?
That pic of Se7en posted by Harry Kim – what the hell happened to him?? Please bring back the old pretty boy Se7en.
This look is horrible!!!
haha March 20, 2008 at 9:59 pm
nina is a *profanity* mor(o)n. lol. (She/he)pro(bab)ly reads at a 3rd grade level. LMAO(.)
lol it’s all in good fun — i’m a child at heart, and internet arguments = PURE FAIL, so i won’t even bother.
i do not need to make any statement against you, mister/missus anonymous person, because what you said proves your own ineptitudes. =D
now off to my chem final!
but by posting that comment you did make a statement…?
um March 21, 2008 at 3:10 am
but by posting that comment you did make a statement…?
LOL i see what you mean. but what i meant was that i was not going to make any derogatory satements against that person lolol. i did not get agitated and blow up and write a nasty retaliation comment like how many people get over things on the internet =D i hope this clarifies for you…? LOL
LOL look at me trying to explain my actions >D<”’
all your LOL’s just make it seem like u care more.
should’ve just ignored it.
um March 21, 2008 at 3:26 am
all your LOL’s just make it seem like u care more.
should’ve just ignored it.
hahahaha omg i almost laughed out loud!
i had to put the “LOLs” because i really was almost “LOL-ing” hahaha.
believe me sweety, i could care less. this is just helping me to relieve my stress from my exam that’s going to happen in an hour >.<
oh now i really must go! a pleasure to meet you~
okay so im back and i have to say that umm i think it’s both sides that can’t handle the heat. like an earlier(like really early) post said when i read Popseoul!’s articles, I feel like there’s a piece of the story missing so yea. I still like this site and i use it as a way to update myself with with K-Entertainment as with other sites like ALLKPOP so yea. Anyway, about this article, I feel like something is really missing here but yea i’m gonna say that it is kinda immature to lash out at a blog site first of all, but it is also immature to post this kind of a situation to the public. I mean if i were making a blog and i faced this kind of ordeal, I would keep it private, if u ask me, but hey, it’s still YOUR blog so i’m gonna keep quiet about that.
On the real, I would be pretty mad if i had invited u to something and i get bad reviews about it BUT it’s not a reason to make this kind of a retaliation against a blog site that is LEGALLY protected by right to write or type what they feel. If they only gave out good reviews about some party and someone decided to go to that party and they hated it, they would get mad at the site because they would think that the site was lying or something. They might even get mad at themselves for even going to the dang party as well.
Anyway, I wish Se7en good luck and i definitely don’t blame any of this on Se7en but on the promoters. I think they just don’t want ppl to read ur site, and think that their parties suck and then they don’t go to their parties and then the promoters don’t make money. It was really disappointing that the promoters did this to y’all so yea. That’s my 2 cents lol. hahaha
have a good day =]]
ohhh yea.
and i agree with BOTTOM LINE on this whole thing haha
definitely.
Okay I only agree with BOTTOM LINE on some things lol.
but I think that he’s right on the most part.
Free Country…
Freedom of Speech…
Is that all you can say??
No…
“People” Stil have to put that Se7en wont know or wouldn’t read about this blog…
So you say bad things??
Is it like that??
You probably wouldn’t read this so… Ill write it anyway…
I hate people who judge very easily. I guess it’s just jealousy…
What if I am Se7en?? Huh??
Not saying I am and Not saying Im not…
I am reading what ever you are writing…
Please. Not to sound rude or bad…
… But you guys are just too much to handle…
… Your words hurt…
Se7en has worked extremely hard and i cant believe that there are only a few people who understand and appreciate what he does…
He is not anybody else but SE7EN…
It’s his identity, what he wants to do with it, it’s his choice…
He could make it better??
He could make it worse??
But he is still Se7en…
Dont compare him with other people because he doesn’t deseve to be compared because he’s the one and only.
Im sure you dont want to be compared with some person you have nothing to do with…
…Leave him alone…
…He has gone through a rough time…
…Give way and you’ll see, he will get better, if you think that he isn’t good enough…

These are my favorite lyrics ever…
It means alot to me…
…if this would be one of the last songs that he would make because of his low ratings…
…I will never let it go…
GoodLuck Se7en!!!
I hope you find the music that will lead you to the right direction…
Saranghamnida Se7en…
You can count on me…
I will never forget to support you…
Whoever said “News=facts”…you’ve got to be effing kidding me. Are you an educated at all?? Do you NOT realize that News are controlled by the government because that’s where they get all their funding from?? News can be extremely biased and skewed as well. They can choose what to report on, what to ignore, the kinds of people to interview. News may LOOK more professional and objective, but they are just as biased as blogs are. News are even worse because they feed us LIES from the government & they manipulate American citizens. Just think of the war going on now(the justifications the ‘factual-news’ told us we were going in for), Vietnam-My Lai, Civil Rights movement, even 9/11. Obviously, you didn’t pay attention in your history class.
thank you for posting that.
Popseoul. Wow you guys are horrible. Its so obvious that the beef is between NYC promotors and YOU. How could you guys even write that Se7en was involved in this? This is the most rediculous article i have ever read. Please be more responsible of the things you say.
Popseoul said out loud what most people at the event could not do because either they were too drunk, too star stuck or lack of proper tools/engine to communicate to the rest of the world. Popseoul was there to report the news & thats what they did. To bad if some people didnt like what they read, thats life.
Sorry Popseoul. I don’t think you know much about promoting. Especially for that of an artist with little English skills. The one thing you don’t want to do is make your star look incompetent. Not speaking with the American media when you have just learned English is most common. As you may not know, America is a bit rough, very different from Asia. Not very excepting to an Asian Artist. SO it would make sense to not speak with the American media until his English is much better.
It seems like all Se7en’s fans can’t take the heat from popsoeul. They all laugh at other stars being ridiculed and even join in. See how it feels to have the one you like and admired bashed. I bet it Doesn’t feel so good does it.
It’s been a long while now since I heard about Se7en debuting in the U.S.. They keep delaying and delaying it. It’s ridiculous! And then I hear those sample songs from the White Party thing and it sounds pretty much average to me – average enough for many Americans to pass this “artist” and move on to the next thing because his music pretty much sounds like “been there, done that”
To keep delaying a debut and for “fans” to forever take long to see their star come out in America just to see mediocre music is unworthy to take defense on them while others want to bash him and his PR people. To wait this LONG, is to expect something that’s gonna be AWESOME… but I doubt it.
I like good music. I’m gonna like it when I like it, and when I don’t… then I won’t. And since I can post my comments on blogs such as these, I’m gonna give my opinion whether it’s negative or positive.
I’m Korean myself, but don’t expect me to root for someone just because he happens to share the same ethnicity as me. I have to like what he’s doing with his music FIRST and most importantly.
Everyone in here is stupid!!!
Including me… ;’)
But not the ones who would stop posting after this post.
cheers to Molly who’s not a fan of Se7en like me. I’m a fan of his music but not him. End of story
imposter much?
“hello everyone, just saying se7en is so cool he won’t say anything liek that!”
haha, geesh. people these days are so gullible =]
wake up, popseoul and readers.
ANYONE can call themselves ‘Nelson Lee from Rainstone Live / Swerve Media’ on this site. it isn’t that difficult.
do some research and think some more before you fall for tricks, how bout that? because of your gullibility, you have led probably hundreds of readers to believe se7en and his management company to be a joke.
are you really sure ‘Nelson Lee from Rainstone Live / Swerve Media’ will really take the time to leave such a long and ridiculous comment that will obviously incite whomever reads it? i think not, of course i could always be wrong.
seems more like YOU, writer of this blog, cannot take the JOKE (from that poster, obviously).
maybe more years of internet usage will give you enough experience to realize that things aren’t always as they appear to be, especially on the internet, where true identities are hidden.
se7en’s no idiot. he’s made it this far, and if his management was really stupid enough to do something like that, YGe would have found a different company to help him rise to fame in the US.
hey, why don’t you blog me a comment, popseoul?
awhhh se7en leave him alone like..korean celbs get enuff hating on by people just leave them be gosh..how do you know se7en sent them promoters were are the comments like??
wow
i love this blog
reminds me of xia xue’s blog
what’s funny is the comments and not the posts by popseoul
i love how people over react
do u guyz REALLY THINK the promoters for se7en will really come here and talk? they have better things to do then to read or even REPLY
anyways i wouldn’t totally agree on how popseoul wrote the post, but this entire blog is entitled to popseoul’s opinions, u either agree or disagree, u can’t change how someone feels about a certain situation
anyways nice entertainment
i love blogs that attract so much attention
Geez.. what’s going on??!!
I say leave poor POPSEOUL alone!!!
I find that people who are bashing PS are the ones keeping on challenging other people’s personal comments. Who seriously need to grow up here? *tsk tsk tsk*
Why are people keeping on asking POPSOEUL to do research? This is just a freaking blog!
Like moochi said, i’m neither agreeing nor disagreeing with what PS has written about the event, because this is just personal opinion. Can or cannot take any JOKE, who cares? Not my business, not YOURS.
Good job for these “protectors” for actually bashing SE7EN’s image… good job! Continue bashing please you “protectors”, we like entertainment… that’s what POPSEOUL is for.. thankyou!
way to get the last word in there popseoul. idiots.
i cant believe that people actually believe that seven ‘unleashed promoters to spam our comment section with malicious emails’
first of all they are called fans and thats including this nelson guy so is OBVIOUSLY not the real thing and what malicious emails????
im with the ones who think that popseoul needs to think before actually tarnishing peoples rep
