DSP’s new group, Ast1 (pronounced A Style) recently released their “Overthrow Super Junior” (타도 슈퍼주니어) promotional video.
Ast1 is fearlessly expressing that their diverse six member boy-band with four Koreans, one Japanese and one Chinese is better than Super Junior’s thirteen fourteen mediocre members and they are right - nothing can be worse than Super mob.
Let’s just hope that the Elves won’t assassinate Ast1 before their official debut in April.

I give them props for being so bold………. but seriously, I think the korean entertainment industry calls for not only vocals. I find that “looks” get people interested, but the vocals keep them there. If they can’t get people interested, it’ll be difficult for them. I only found two of their members good looking…. the leader, and the japanese one - otherwise… I was kinda freaked out by the others. I’m looking forward to JYP’s new group even more than this one

The fact that they’re using the success of another group to refer to, badmouth, and challenge is a sure sign of the success of the other group. And this Ast1 group is using the wave of their superior’s success to give them, what, more credibility? More anticipation from people?
I think attacking another group before you’re really anything is a cheap move. If they’ve got what it takes, we’d notice regardless of other competition.

Nuh, i don’t think this group is going to work. I mean, ‘TAKE DOWN SJ’? That’s going to be difficult. Firstly, SJ is a established pop group, their influence extends beyond korean entertainment industry. Some individual members, such as Si-won, have made their mark in film as well. Secondly, SJ has a monolithic fan-base, the ELVES. They’ll literally attack anything that will have the slightest negative impact on their beloved oppas, let alone a group that wants to bring them down. Thirdly, SJ is backed up by father SM. Now thats one influential company. They can pretty much destroy any fledgling little band/group that would pose a threat to their money-making machine.
So, goodluck to that As1. You’ll need a miracle to make it work.

Although I don’t know the talents of these guys yet and they may be very talented, but seriosly….. their promotional method?? I know they’re trying to be a bit OUT THERE and cause some sort of a stir, but they have chosen the wrong people to mess with. I mean, ELF?! Did they not see the Super Junior guys themselves get mobbed by ELF’s? And that was over the love for their oppas!! Does Ast’1 or DSP think ELFs will let them go so easily? When they debut I’m sure ELF’s will be present just to boo them off the stage. If not.. just in the looks department and Super Junior has won hands down!!!

Also i think it’s pretty mischievous of them to attempt to single out SuJu because how could they even do that, when they didn’t show any their own talents.
I think they have a deathwish, because ELVES are pinpointing their current latitude and longitude now and attack with lemon juice when ready.
