SM Entertainment is dipping into musicals as a way to take over the music industry. For their first project, SM has made the wise decision of casting their best singing prospects in the flamboyant 80’s musical, Xanadu ? Super Junior’s Hee-chul and Kangin. And if you know anything about POPSEOUL!, you will know that was laced with sarcasm.
With the fairy-dusted Hee-chul and the donut-chopping Kangin (ok, we don’t know if he likes donuts) in technocolor outfits and roller skates, this musical is expected to sink faster than the Titanic.
The musical production of Xanadu will run from September 9th to November 23rd, 2008 on the north side of the Han River at Doosan Art Center in Jongro. Tickets start at 40,000 won. For more information, contact 82?2-745-5570 (Korean).

I’ve always thought Heechul was VERYYYYY flamboyent for a guy! I’ve noticed that some Asian guys (in Asia) are girl’ish in some way (how they dress) but Heechul is in his own level.
I always thought he was gay–not that it’s a bad thing or anything.
man.. just wish heechul would cut his long hair n’ style it so he looks more of a man!!!

as for the said article, when I saw heechul in LA, definitely he is one fruity guy. kangin on the other hand is truly quite manly.

@ starz: He did cut it but now it’s somehow even girlier (it’s like a school girls hair style. Not quite a bowl-cut and really femmy). When he chopped it short for his drama “Golden Bride” he looked gorgeous AND masculine. I wish he’d go back to that style. :/

@yanna: He did get a nose job but he only did it because he broke it and it was the way to fix it. That’s why it still looks the same because he didn’t do it to change his look.

@ yanna: He DID get a nose job and I’m not just thinking that because popseoul said he did (I don’t trust anything popseoul says actually. It’s as bad as a celeb gossip magazine lol). Just compare an old profile shot to a new one, the change is obvious.
It wasn’t a dramatic change (just the end/tip of his nose looks different, like he had it shortened or something…which is weird because there wasn’t anything wrong with the length of his nose, it was just kind of large in general) but even a slight change to your nose can make a big difference.

What happened to Micky Hee-Chul. I mean he was girly but he was still kinda cute…almost too pretty if you ask me.

Sometimes I don’t get the old guy & his ways of doing things…& I was starting to love Heechul too, but now I reallly wonder if I can trust him/SuJu/any korean celebs…(uhh..they’re not that trustworthy to begin with..=_=)…now, I lost faith with humanity even…omgee.
If SM’s really trying to take over Korea, this is a very… wrong move. The play on the “girly” image has been too long for Heechul, I don’t know anyone who care’s to watch this play.
P.S. Bring BoA back to Korea, give her two weeks of REAL rest and finally, a KOREAN album.

Old popseoul! would never say that she was being sarcastic. I miss the old popseoul back, you guys shouldn’t have had broken up. Although at times the blogs were a little to biased and sarcastic, I still looked forward to reading your blog everyday because I didn’t feel like I was reading a newspaper with all facts, I felt like I was getting entertained.
I hope that old popseoul would come back, or at least that the blog could recover and be entertaining again.
