Lee Hyori is a copycat

20080801_mnet_leehyori

Lee Hyori, accused of copying the likes of real divas, Christina Aguilera and Beyonce, even copies her own look sans cowboy hat for hair care brand, Vidal Sassoon last year.

Can this woman not think of anything original?

The sexy cutie singer performed in her little cowboy outfit on Mnet’s weekly M-countdown on July 31st, 2008.

popseoul, please.. this is waste of space… copycat? like if someone wears tshirt and other celeb do, then it’s a copycat? you make a blog in wordpress, so, ur a copycat. horray to that.

Copy? If this is called copying, the fact that we wear clothes we see in mags would be called copying too. The fact that we eat food we see recommended on tv would be called copying too. The fact that we say certain lines on certain comedic shows would be copying too. What is the big deal man? Hyori saw it, inspired by it and simply created magic out of it.

Wht’s weird is that … Hyori is not the one who’s “intendedly ” copying these divas … there’s the writer of the songs .. there’s here stylist … it’s not her .. it’s suckz that everyone’s blaming on her ..

I still think she’s a good entertainer no matter wht .. people are just jealous ..

Hey, her song is pretty catchy…
BUT there are lyrics in her songs that I recognize from Christina Aguilera’s “Back to Basics” album. I wouldn’t blame Lee Hyori. She doesn’t write her songs, she just performs them.

Wow, you have unleashed the wrath of Hyori fans. . .I did notice the similarities between her most recent MV for her single “U Go-Girl” and Christina Aguilera’s Candyman MV. . . just watch it and you’ll notice them to.

Yes, many artists copy off others’ handiwork, just like Hyori. . . so, who cares if they copy, right? WRONG! We should care. . .By pointing out (and paying notice of) when artists are not genuine it shows that as fans, we will not overlook or tolerate their dishonesty and lack of creativity.

If the artist expect people to shell out cash on their products (i.e. Music and merchandise), they better be true originals or at least, not copy others.

I wonder who here cannot think of something creative.. what a loser post..

^^^ So you’re saying she’s not a copycat ’cause being someone’s puppet is her excuse? An artist (term used loosely) with no creative control, hmm that’s impressive. How far is she in to her career that she can’t express her opinions? Try looking up the materials people are handing to you so that you don’t end up with a lawsuit for plagiarism. There’s no such thing as originality but at least don’t do things so blatantly to the point where you can’t even call it an “influence”. I don’t know her and she might even be a nice person, but as an artist, try doing something for your career that you’re proud of not just because it sells. Being able to entertain is nice but hardly considered a talent.

Oh puhlease! Hyori’s been in the business for over a decade and she’ll continue to be kpop’s queen for a long time no matter how much haters may wish otherwise!

people who has time to accuse people of doing something this is just sad.find something better to do than just going your way and try to create a bad image of hyori when obviously you really have no solid proof of any of those accusations.

Only in Korea could the biggest copy cat be kpop queen. If she was in the U.S. she would be history. It is ok to copy a little, but this girl is very blazen with it. All her fans can say is “who cares…she’s hot” It’s hilarious!

  17. 18 Kai September 1, 2008 at 5:15 am

    why is everyone blaming hyori?
what if she isnt the one choosing her outfits for perfs
i would blame her stylist and whoever tells her how to do the perfs(like when you have to walk out or something)
unless someone tells me if she’s the one whos doing all of it then i say that hyori isnt at fault

  18. 19 duachua September 3, 2008 at 7:51 am

is she a striper or a singer? just random rhetorical question =)

  19. 20 janet January 27, 2009 at 2:34 am

to everyone who called her fat…lol you’re probably 2x her size. she is 30 and looks amazing for her age. girls in their 20s would kill to look anything like her..esp most korean girls. the average korean girl is so ugly, no wonder they are obsessed with plastic surgery hahaha

hahaha wow “copycat”, i didn’t know we were back in the 2nd grade. find something worthwhile to say if youre going to bash her..or get over the fact that you can’t be her;)

  20. 21 sugar baby November 9, 2009 at 5:14 am

“sigh”, this girl is very talented indeed. But why can’t she just come up with her own stuff?
I mean, if you’re gonna copy somebody, please do a better job than the original.

FYI to all the stupid people who thinks copying is ok…its plagiarize ( : to steal and pass off (the ideas or words of another) as one’s own : use (another’s production) without crediting the source.)
Here are a few examples if you still don’t get it:
