Seeya’s Nam Gyu-ri tapes her feet into her shoes for safety. A spokesperson from her management company confirmed that tape was used to prevent accidents from happening. You know, the kind of accident when a shoe comes flying off and hitting someone on the head!
Nam Gyu-ri’s shoe tape was spotted at her performance for the Mnet M-countdown on July 24th 2008 and the next night at the press conference for her new horror flick, “Death Bell” (고사).
Death Bell opens nationwide in Korea on August 7th 2008.

no matter how high the heel is, shoes won’t come off if it fits your foot. maybe her stylist should just get her the right size shoes…

That’s just stupid. Safty reasons my arse. If you’re so concern with safty, wear shoes with strap. I guess it’s okay to look tacky with taped shoes when you’re a star. Try pulling that in real life. I’m mean it’s not like her dances required her to whip her feet up, like some salsa dancing type.

It’s normal, especially for female dancers to either use tape (cheap method) or clear bands when wearing heels to dance.

Oh…tape makes sense…Well sometimes even a close to perfect fitting shoe will come loose if you’re doing something a little more active like performing or running to catch a train or something like that. And face it..feet can sweat too and change form throughout the day. I think she can dance with more energy without worrying that her shoe will slip off in weird way and she falls.
