Choi Min-ho won the gold medal for yudo (Men’s 60kg) on Saturday, August 9th 2008. The 28 year old swept the competition effortlessly in a single move. Watching him was amazing!
Accepting his gold medal on the stand, Choi Min-ho had tears streaming down his face. Just imagine all those hard years of training finally paying off in a glorious gold Olympic medal.

It may be pronounced “yu-do” in Korean but the word is still “judo.”

“yudo = Korean
judo = japanese
= same”
Not the same: Judo is 100% japanese, the name must be respected. Worldwide is called “Judo”. Why in Kimchiland should be different? Well, we all know the answer…
i know the kanji is read differently, but the world knows it as judo, so just put it as judo… you wouldn’t write tofu as dubu, would you?
