Good luck on the 1500m swim! Though I doubt PTH will get gold (He is better on short tracks than on long ones) I wish he gets some medal.

Phelps is awesome but all the commentors bringing up Phelps for this post are just stupid….

….b/c Phelps ISN’T EVEN IN THE 1500 Free. Phelps’ last 3 events are the 200 IM, 100 Fly, and IM relay. Park’s competition for the 1500m free is Hackett, whose specialty is the 1500 free. It’ll be an interesting race b/c Hackett underperformed massively in the 400 Free (placed 6th) but this may very will motivate him to take the gold in his best event.

Cutie just failed to make the finals of his pet 1500M freestyle event. He finished 15:05, I think. The qualifiers all went under 15 mins

There’s always London 2010, I suppose

Park Tae Hwan was never that great at the 1500 m anyways and he had an outside chance at bronze at best. I’m surprised he didn’t make it to the finals though.
