Bae Yong-joon wants you to eat kimchi

20080815_baeyongjoon

If you live in Japan, Bae Yong-joon wants you to eat his kimchi.

The spicy dish will be sold only in Japan under the brand name, “Go-shi-rye,” which is incidentally the name of the Korean traditional restaurant that the Mr. Ajumma is operating in Japan. “Go-shi-rye” cabbage kimchi will be sold exclusively to high-end department stores and supermarkets. And of course, being Korean, the kimchi will be made of 100% Korean-grown cabbage and will retail at 600 Yen (6000 won) per 300 grams.

Would you buy Bae Yong-joon branded kimchi?

Can he freaking cut his hair now? I mean, Bi I can understand because he’s promoting his role for Ninja Assassin but “The Legend” is OVER. Ugly ajumma.

  2. 2 sonaturelle August 16, 2008 at 3:16 am

Yikes why does he looks like he has a mask on. His make up is too thick and his lips look weird. I loved him April snow though. lol

  3. 3 heerie August 16, 2008 at 6:37 am

This man is making so much bank from the japanese ladies. He is totally ripping them off and they don’t care because it’s “HIS” kimchi]

Can’t agree more with yr statement.

Jusr wonder these loyal japanses fans do use their brains at all.

  6. 6 Back off August 16, 2008 at 10:08 am

He has a mind of his own and will never be persuaded or affected in any way by opiniobs. He will cut the hair when he feels doing it.

He’s not like other stars who don’t have a mind of their own. In short, he is smart and wise.

  7. 7 Back off August 16, 2008 at 10:11 am

    That’s opinion instead of opinions.

and zero2303, my ancestors are Japanese and I do think that they have brains bec how can you explain the status they have now when they had nothing after the war.

They find something in YJ that is worth all their time and money.

It is well known in Japan that Mr Bae goes to gay clubs in Tokyo.

  11. 11 byj2468 August 16, 2008 at 5:57 pm

BYJ should send his kimchi to Myanmar also. Myanmar have a lot of Korean stars fans and now a days a lot of korean restaurants as well as bestselling how to cook korea foods.

BYJ,I like Kimchi… So, be HAPPY:)

  12. 12 byj2468 August 16, 2008 at 6:11 pm

Bae we heard about your shoulder surgery after your knee almost healed on 11 Aug, please rest in hospital and read your fans letter by mail or e-mail.

We wish to well soon :)

  13. 13 Pop This! August 16, 2008 at 10:08 pm

That’s a really awful picture of BYJ.

    And I hate kimchi.

  14. 14 Pop This! August 16, 2008 at 10:13 pm

Constructive Critic is right, whether you like it or not.

Read anything about BYJ–anything, and you will find the same stuff. He goes to the gym, he goes for beauty treatments, he goes for hair treatments, and he goes to business meetings. That is his life. He admitted this in the famous GQ interview from a few years ago. “I can only go to the gym and the office” and he complained of being lonely. Those are his own words. And all his staunch fans know it, too. Because they read and post these news items on the blogs and sites. So they KNOW. But they will sit here and get angry at you for telling the truth, that BYJ is a shallow man with a hollow (yes, the word is HOLLOW, not HALLOW) life who spends all his free time at beauty treatments and hair salons and the gym.

“It is well known in Japan that Mr Bae goes to gay clubs in Tokyo.”

Nobody believes this. Personally, I don’t think he’s gay or straight. I think he has no sexuality at all and is just a boring, sad and lonely man.

  16. 16 Pop This! August 16, 2008 at 10:17 pm

    LMAO @ the comments here!

  17. 17 Back off August 16, 2008 at 10:35 pm

    @Pop This!

He’s just too discrete with his own personal life
and nobody knows 100% about this even friends close
to him bec he’s so secretive.

Why he said he’s lonely? Because he can’t be like other
stars who can have relationships and drink or go out with
friends without being reported in the newspapers.
He doesn’t want publicity.. Who knows exactly why he
    does this deliberately?

Non-YJ fans, whatever you say here doesnt really matter.
He will still earn his millions and more fans.

  18. 18 Back off August 16, 2008 at 10:45 pm

Speaking of personality, I don’t know what to call a personality like “Dumpling aka Pop This aka Constructive Critic”. You lurk in every BYJ’s site and pretend that you like him but in reality you just want to get information to use against him. I think you’re the one who should “have a life”.

You lurk in other sites too, like JDG’s. You spark anger there of his fans too.

You should go and consult a psychiatrist.

  19. 19 mia August 17, 2008 at 12:20 am

Is he going to stay single all his life? I think so as he is too secretive. Spending a rich but lonely life like that?! A poor man in a sense.

  20. 20 Back off August 17, 2008 at 7:50 am

    @mia

Is it really our problem if he is still single?
How about LBH and JDG. Why aren’t you concerned
that they are still single too.

Well, it goes to show that YJ is the most popular among
K-Stars and whatever he does will hit the headline.
Everyone is conscious about who is the real BYJ.
He is like a puzzle and a mystery nobel.

  21. 21 Pop This! August 17, 2008 at 8:02 am

Back Off sounds a little weird. You read a lot of detective novels?

  22. 22 Back off August 17, 2008 at 10:20 am

    Hi Pop This.

Aren’t you going to check my English?
Of course you enjoy that because you have MBA and
you believe you are the smartest “Queen Esther”
    in the universe.

You’re under surveillance do you know that?
So before you start checking and correcting
other people’s English, I think you have to start
    to watch your back.

  23. 23 Constructive Critic August 17, 2008 at 3:46 pm

    @ Pop This!

    Thanks for defending my argument.

    @ Back Off

I don’t know who Dumpling and who Pop This! are but we are not the same people, we are different individuals.

So plz don’t ever post another comment saying, “Dumpling aka Pop This! aka Constructive Critic.”

Believe it or not, not everyone is a fan or Mr. Bae’s nor a hater.

I feel indifferent towards him but I do get upset when people say that he and his restaurants are what is putting Korea and Korean culture on the map. The majority of Korean movies that bring fame and honor to Korea don’t even star him.

  24. 24 Constructive Critic August 17, 2008 at 4:18 pm

    @ Back Off

I have only 3 things to point out for you.

    1st :
“He’s just too discrete with his own personal life and nobody knows 100% about this even friends close to him bec he’s so secretive.”

First of all, are you in his circle of friends? How do you know what info he shares with whom? And if he doesn’t share anything with anyone, then you confirm our case (our meaning, mine and Pop This!’s case) that he is lonely and alone. If you can’t talk to your friends then who can you talk to?
    ———————————————————-

    2nd :
“[…] He doesn’t want publicity.. Who knows exactly why he does this deliberately?”

You have just admitted yourself; you have no idea why he does what he does. So please don’t appoint yourself as his PR agent.

    —————————————————-

    3rd :
“ I don’t know what to call a personality like “Dumpling aka Pop This aka Constructive Critic”. You […] pretend that you like him but in reality you just want to get information to use against him. I think you’re the one who should ‘have a life’. You lurk in other sites too, like JDG’s. You spark anger there of his fans too.”

Who have I angered? Many people on this site have called Mr. Bae far worse things then just lonely and sad. Why are mad at me for pointing out the truth that even Pop This! defended by finding a personal quote of Mr. Bae, where he himself admits of being lonely.

  25. 25 Back off August 17, 2008 at 9:31 pm

@Constructive Critic & @Pop This: Talking to herself.

You’re completing other half of yourself?
    Funny..

Anyway, it is neither your concern or mine if he is lonely.
It’s none of our damn business. What I can’t take is that there are blog site like this and person(s) like the writer & the commentor who has nothing good to say to the persons who’re making their country famous. I may not be correct that you are Koreans but if you are you are a shame to your country.

If you feel that YJ hasnt done enough for him to credit him, then it too doesnt matter much bec you are not in any way deserving to give him or evaluate his value. What you are doing is a shame to human being. You stop writing like you are the most smart and intelligent person in the world that you opinion matters the most.

K-Stars and whatever he does will hit the headline.
Everyone is conscious about who is the real BYJ.
He is like a puzzle and a mystery nobel.

well, it goes to show that BYJ has more anti than any other stars. why? cuz he’s so fake that no other star can match.

  28. 28 Back off August 18, 2008 at 7:31 am

@BYJ Global aka @M3 aka Dumbling

BYJ Global also use the name LEGEND SUCKS.
You are all the same person.
    Review their previous entries and
you will notice the same person’s writing.

No, the only anti is you and PS.
Or you are the same writer you dumbed the
    other sister for money.

If there are more antis that fans he’ll not
be where he is right now. Just common sense.

  29. 29 POP THIS! August 18, 2008 at 9:30 am

    Constructive Critic:

You are wasting your time on this person who claims we are all the same person and that I/we/you are “under surveillance”. This person sounds paranoid, creepy and possibly dangerous. And all over a celebrity who doesn’t know she exists.

Don’t feel mad, feel sad, for this poor creature.

  30. 30 Mormon August 18, 2008 at 11:59 am

Pop This aka Dumpling aka Queen Esther aka etc.
    talking to herself…

You see I can use different names just like you do.
The only thing is that I don’t hide myself and pretend
that there are many YJ antis when in fact there are just one or two persons.

  31. 31 Mormon August 18, 2008 at 12:07 pm

and who are you to talk ill of other persons even of they are celebrities? Is that how a normal human being supposed to live his/her life? You are the one who is paranoid.
Making money out of other people’s expense. SHame on you!

  32. 32 Constructive Critic August 18, 2008 at 12:28 pm

    @ Pop This!

You’re 100% right. There is no point in trying to reason with a fan; it’s like talking to a brick wall.

I guess I should not have forgotten that the origin of the word fan comes from Fanatic. Thus we can’t blame whoever Geez is, of being delusional towards Mr. Bae.

  33. 33 bise...x August 19, 2008 at 8:02 am

He has long hair for some reason (day time – he is a man, but night time he is a woman).

    to me sincere to say…i don’t like it…but if no choice….still ok….

  41. 41 Ebony September 19, 2008 at 10:30 am

I would try it just to see what the hell is all the fuss about. I’ve never had Kimchi before being that I’m not Korean, but black. This might be a stupid question but what the hell is it anyway. In almost every Korean drama they either mention Kimchi or eat it XD!!!!!

Never knew why people love BYJ so much when Song Seung is breathing, but after watching him in The Legend he grew on me (Song Seung is still my #1 hottie though)!!!

Wow the comments here are Priceless XD!!!! Anyway BYJ’s picture here makes him look like Micheal Jackson o_O Did he ever have plastic surgury because I kept being drawn to his face in the drama because it was just an enigma to me.

  42. 42 jeoul08 October 5, 2008 at 7:07 am

im just enjoying reading all these comments…..its kinda funny though……
.i love byj…….i just wonder why he still single…..

Pls stop all these negative comments! If you do not have good to say…pls……

I love Yong Joon! and …I’ve tasted Kimchi! in Sydney…go to a Korean restaurant and they include it as a side dish! a bit spicy but yummy! good for you!
