What would you do if an Olympic athlete announced to the world that you are his ideal woman?
Yudo silver medalist, Wang Ki-chun recently revealed that his ideal woman is none other than Yubin of the Wondergirls. Will this public announcement result in a date with a Wondergirl? Unlikely, since many of the female celebrities, including Lee Hyori, Nam Kyu-ri, and Sun-ye of the Wondergirls are looking longingly to gold medalist Park Tae-hwan who incidentally is raking in at least an estimated 1 million USD in endorsements last year.
Despite a broken rib, Wang Ki-chun managed to snag a silver medal in the Men’s 73kg competition on August 11th 2008. But in Korea, a silver medal is only worth 1/10 of a single gold medal – that’s the reason why the poor silver medalist said he was sorry for winning a silver. Now, that’s just messed up!
i think the picture is hot of yubin, so seductive and has charisma. haha but honestlyy yubin and top makes a cutier couple :p but thats just the the image and because they are both rappers.

Panamá never has won a gold medal in the Olympic Games, 60 years ago a panamanian runner won two bronze and since then nothing. If we win one of silver it would be a national holiday

Maybe it’s because I’m not Korean, but I think Park Taehwan is overhyped. Sure he is the first Korean to win a medal in swimming, but still. It seems like he’s the only Korean Olympian any Korean cares about. S. Korea has a few other gold medalists too.

I can’t believe some of you morons actually believe everything written here by popseoul. Korea is very proud of Wang’s accomplishment! Judo is a brutal sport, but he still fought like a warrior even with a cracked rib. There’s no doubt Wang would have won if he was healthy. Wang is the reigning world champion and actually beat the same guy last year when he was healthy during the world judo championships held in Brazil. Winning gold medal would have been nice for Wang, it would’ve given him exemption from entering mandatory 2 year military service. But he’s only 20 years old, I’m sure he’ll be back at London Olympics to bring back the gold medal to where it should belong.
Why should he be sorry for getting a silver?? I wouldn’t apologize…I’m sure his aim was to get the gold medal, but at least he got a medal…even with a broken rib!! And those female celebrities are like flies on poop, they’re just sucking up the media time of Park Taehwan.
Ugh, I hate people who are like SILVER?! or BRONZE?! as if it wasn’t good enough. To even BE apart of the Olympics should be the greatest honor and to win one of the medals would be the chance of a lifetime.
