After 7 years of sweat under JYP, pastel clothed boy group, 2AM, is finally being recognized. The quartet received the “Rookie of the Month” Award by the Digital Music Awards for “This song,” which sold 50,000 copies last month.

like irees said- the recognition is probably due to Park Tae Hwan having their song on his cyworld. Otherwise, even if they had sold those 50,000 copies last month-they would have been ignored since their popularity isn’t that great. but i guess it is a relief to win something after 7 years of sweat.
They can’t have sold 50,000 – even SS501 only sold 28,000 approximately for their new single/mini-album.
I believe the number you meant to write is 5000. Pls be more accurate in the future.

they’re not that good looking but they might be going through that awkward stage…though i don’t think shinee did. anyways, these guys have a lot of talent. i’m looking forward to more of their songs. 2am FIGHTING!

Isn’t this just politics? Like can’t JYP pay for/make a few phone calls to get those boys the award? Isn’t it about giving the guys more publicity and creditability because they are so boring to watch and forgetable? Didn’t that other funny looking boy band (shoe shine boys) sell just as many copies? That award is meaningless!!! Sorry for being negative but it seems a little weird to me.
