Interest is brewing around D.I.S.C.O diva, Uhm Junghwa and U go girl, Lee Hyori sharing the same stage for Mnet 20’s Choice Awards on August 23rd 2008.
If both divas were to share the stage- like Madonna and Britney Spears, what would happen? With all eyes on the 2 pop stars, they would have to do something shocking – perhaps a lip lock for fan service?

LOL, their fame will be lasting an EXTREMELY long time, honey. They’re not your typical “15 minutes of fame.” They’ve been around a LOT longer than 15 minutes.

Sure, they may be the Madonna and Spears of Korea, but if you look at the Korean entertainment industry in general, it’s usually a come-and-go fashion–especially with all these young generation of singers/groups coming in. This always puts a lot of stress on celebrities. And there’s a reason why so many of them opt out for acting careers in dramas because their fame simply does not withstand long enough to make a living in the ever-changing music industry.
A veteran entertainer will always preach to the young entertainers in Korea to scrap up all the money while you can. And they usually invest in real estate or run a restaurant under their celebrity name after their fame has diminished.
I guess my comment should have been worded differently, but the idea was regarding their fame using their sex appeal. Both singers have mentioned how devastating it would be to have their career hit a plateau. They obviously worry about their age and their lack of sex appeal as younger and more attractive singers and groups are coming in (Suh In-Young, Wonder Girls, etc.) That’s the reason why I said “enjoy the fame while it lasts”, because let’s face it, they are not getting any younger…
I am aware of their career and how much they mean to Korea. They will always be an idol and even after their singing careers, they will always be welcome in other entertainment (Hyori doing MC and UJH doing acting).
