The USD 25 million blockbuster drama, East of Eden spared no expense at their media conference. More like a concert, artists on the East of Eden OST, Seeya and FT Island performed in front of five thousand people who were at hand to cheer on the cast and crew.

The event was held on location in the southern tip of Korea in South Gyeongsang province.

East of Eden will air on MBC on August 25, 2008.

Han Ji-hye looks fabulous in the black pants and sweet china-colored shirt.

Lee Da-hae is keeping it classy and sexy at the same time with the plunging neckline.

Lee Yeon hee adds a twist to her patterned strapless dress with a little black hat.

Yeon Jung-hoon is happy to be there.

what a good looking cast. with that budget and this set of faces, i really hope the drama’s story will be worth watching beyond the aesthetics. that song seung-heon is really hot.

The cast looks great, but this drama has got too much hype!

The casts are great, if the story is just plain like old dramas it would be damn boring. I hope it’s a good drama.

This, believe it or not, is the first time I’ve been so excited about a k-drama.

Why?

Because it’s got 3 of my favorite actors/actresses in it:
-Lee Yeonhee (absolutely cute __<

and just so you know, I’m rooting for a
SSH + LYH ending.

To SP: careful, you’re showing your age there.

I’m looking forward to this drama not just because of the cast but also because of the budget. What I like about Korean dramas is that, sometimes(as in the case of this drama) they have production values same or better than films. What I like especially with big-budgeted kdramas is the fact that they’ve got a proper soundtrack, music that is fully orchestrated and made especially for the drama just like, again, in films. Only thing I don’t look forward to is the length, 50 episodes. In small doses, who knows, I could probably persevere. I only hope they don’t fall flat on their faces and deliver a disappointing or, as in the case of ‘The Lobbyist’, mediocre drama.

p.s. I hope they leave all the spoken English to Dennis Oh. Creditability is thrown out the window once a Korean actor speaks English and the storyline dictates he/she was meant to have been born and raised in America, Canada or Australia!

this is the first time i have liked an entire casts’ outfits at those opening-drama-media-conference things. Someone always manages to make a big fashion no-no! again lee da hae is too skinny- if i were a guy i would be totally afraid to act with her- like what if i fell on her and her bones break and the drama would have to be put on hold?

I love Han Ji Hye. I am so happy to see that she has gained some weight in all the right places. So much so that she curves and hips now. Not so crazy about her outfit but boy she pulled it off. Only, she can do that.

wow! MBC is very confident on this drama that they even held the hand print on the cement. i only saw that sort of ceremony in SBS “LOVERS in PARIS” victory party for hitting 57% as its highest rating.

i hope with the many buzz on this series, the writers will not fail the audience. i love SSH and i want this series to be a success, but if the writer will simply rely on these stars…that would not keep the audience. the writers must make every episode exciting to keep and attract audience.

Definately will take time out to watch this K-Drama once it’s out…only because Lee Da Hae is in it! I like Yeon Jung-hoon too - think he is really under-rated. Song Seung-heon for me is a bit over-rated - he’s good looking and all but most times I cannot “feel” the characters he portrays - hopefully he doesn’t act with a flat face in this series.

They all look great! I agree with the others though, Lee Da Hae has lost too much weight. I’m hoping for her to end up with Song Seung Heon, although if he ended up with Han Ji Hye that would be okay too…don’t think it’s gonna happen though. I just think that Lee Yeon Hee’s too young to be paired with SSH. I’m thinking they should have casted another actress for her role, nothing against her, she’s pretty and all, but she seems like his little sister…

I’m gonna have to wait until more episodes have aired before I start watching…hope it’s good!

i loved this drama
my favorite actress Lee Da Hae and my yummy actor Song Seung Heon love them both. i hope they will end together because the look good together and have chemestry.
