The highly anticipated shared stage between pop divas Lee Hyori and Uhm Jung-hwa fell short of my low expectations at the Mnet 20’s Choice Awards on August 23rd 2008. Although I was hoping for something titillating (i.e. a shared kiss, perhaps?) between the two, the pop divas confirmed that they could easily be interchangeable. Wearing the exact same outfit, Lee Hyori performed Uhm Jung-hwa’s hit, “D.I.S.C.O” and the only way I could tell it was Hyori was because of her sexy smile and short legs. Otherwise, she could be Uhm Jung-hwa herself. On the other hand, Uhm Jung-hwa’s version of her counterpart was a slightly less fashionable, slightly skankier take on Hyorish’s fashion. Wearing white cropped pants mismatched with a peach high-cut bathing suit, Uhm Jung-hwa did better with the booty shaking that was required for Lee Hyori’s hit, “U Go Girl.” The reason being-Uhm Jung-hwa has the booty.

That was the best performance of the night. They’re both okay at singing live though. Not too great. Lee Hyori looked funny with the UJH clothes XD I didn’t think UJH could pull off something that sexy but she actually has a really nice body. She looks human and not anorexic.

That was actually pretty good, atleast they’re not lip-syncing, and you can actually tell there singing. Uhm Jung-hwa has a nice body too.

well i was fine with disco and dj. hyori did a great job in dj but uhm jung hwa should stick to her own songs. i reallly didnt like her when she was singing u go girl

uhm looks lovelier than hyori. hyori cant beat uhm, hyori has very short legs emphasized by those leg wraps. uhm looks elegant, hyori looks scruffy.

the first pic shows how short hyori’s short legs is. is hyori an crapped alien thrown on earth? must be an andre’s creation, sort of. unfortunately, she hasn’t given justice to uhm jung hwa’s sophisticated fashion. crap crap.
Well, I would say, as a 39 year old diva, UJM still has what it takes to be a good singer, and as for Hyori, she’s a modern diva, you know what I mean…soo, for that night, I think they’re pretty good with exchanging Songs…And the performance is not bad compare to ’some’ groups that flop when it comes to singing each other’s songs….

After this performamce, I have just realised Uhm Jung Hwa cannot dance or sing. Her dance was so half-hearted and apathetic. I have no idea how she is the top pop diva. Why am I the only person who can see this? Especially when dancing U-Go Girl, she cannot compare to Hyori. All the talk about Uhm Jung Hwa being old seems to be true.
Were you guys watching the same perfs as I was? Uhm Jung Hwa is starting to show she’s getting a little too old to keep up. She kept huffing and puffing during U-Go-Girl. She couldn’t keep up with the dancing and singing.
i thought Hyori did an amazing job with D.I.S.C.O.! she actually made the outfit look hot! but i didnt like uhm jung hwa’s version of u-go-girl so much because it just didnt ’suit’ her…but still one possibly the best act of the night /XD
I loved this and in the last one lookin at eachother like they really enjoyed it. Felt like I waswatching a climax of some typical success drama hehe

Just looking at the fotos, those girls are interchangeable in appearance. I didn’t realize they switched…maybe their make-up artist was just that good. Their voices are definitely different though. But both women are still hot, energetic and talented (in their own ways) even though they’re past 25. I don’t think they are old, but since everyone else makes big deal about their age..just thought it was awesome that they can still perform like the younger gals.

Hyori unnie definitely looked cute in that outfit, and I liked her verion of D.I.S.C.O. She seemed happy and energetic. I thought she did great compared to UJH.
