Bae Yong-joon appears in public

Baeyongjoon_080827_4

Besides looking like Michael Jackson (but without the voice), what is Bae Yong-joon not showing?

Well, if you have been keeping up with the money machine’s news in the past few weeks, you will know that he is opening up another restaurant in Japan, selling 100% Korean chongguk kimchi in Japan, lending his voice to the animated series for Winter Sonata and now hoping that gracing his presence will bring in more people to see fellow BOF family member, So Ji-sub’s new movie, “Movie is a movie.”

Will it work? Knowing that the ajummas around the world would do anything for him… who knows.

Bae Yong-joon recently had surgery on his shoulder but his arm is in a cast? Not sure how you can have a cast on your arm if the shoulder was injured. Can someone explain this?

I expected that 2 of you will be commenting simultanesouly.
Having different computers doesn’t mean that you are not
    the same person.

Constructive Critic admitted that she has a sister
who has her own opinion on BYJ.
..and she is also here suggesting/recommending
to PS writer to do something about the comments.
I wonder why it concerns you if you don’t belong to them.

Now how does if feel being questioned and accused?
That is the same thing that you are doing to YJ.

    susii

You don’t have to worry. You can do whatever you like.
YJ doesn’t need judgemental fan like you.
He has enough…more than he can handle.
You can go on with your life and move on.

    @ MORE

I never wanted to talk to you again but I guess I have to.

I have tried to be nice but I can’t take it anymore. I let your comment about my sister get passed once. I may have the patience of a monk but I am a human being as well with emotions. You can say whatever it is that you want to me, verbally abuse me for all I care but don’t ever mention my sister in your comments ever again. Or I will report you to the cyber police on this matter.

You might be a shameless fanatic but you should know that when you threaten someone’s family then you are crossing a line.

  5. 5 Constructive Critic September 5, 2008 at 10:24 am

    On August 30th I posted:

“I deeply believe in god and I will never lie in god’s presence and when I said sister. I meant my younger, blood related sister, not a popseoul sister.”

    ———————-

And directly after my post is MORE’s post in which MORE writes:

“[…] Tell your sister to be careful..
    and you too..”

  6. 6 Constructive Critic September 5, 2008 at 10:24 am

Yes I have a sister. A KID sister who goes to high school and for some strange reason happens to not fancy Mr. Bae. Now what are going to do? Send the cyber police to arrest her during her Chemistry class.

    ———————————

I posted my sister’s comment on Popseoul because I wanted to test it out. I was just curious to see how many people actually will agree with her opinion. I personally don’t hate his guts. And after my first post which really is my KID sister’s opinion…all the other posts are my opinions.

  7. 7 Constructive Critic September 5, 2008 at 10:31 am

How impolite and mean can a human being be?

Telling poor fans like susii who just are concerned about Mr. Bae, that Mr. Bae doesn’t need their love and adoration and threatening poor kids.

  8. 8 chuchu September 5, 2008 at 10:36 am

In his old age, you won’t be able to seperate his face from his neck. In the first picture, it looks like his face and neck are running together as one continuous line. YUCK!!

  9. 9 chuchu September 5, 2008 at 10:38 am

Constructive Critic and More, will you both shut the snap up! Popseoul, can’t you ban these idots?!!

  10. 10 Constructive Critic September 5, 2008 at 10:55 am

    @ chuchu

I just showed all of Mr. Bae’s fans/supporters/antis/ and non-admirers the utmost respect.

I was attacked by a fanatic first and then my kid sister gets threaten.

Troublemakers are the ones that should get banned not people that just try to defend themselves against internet bullies.

  11. 11 more September 5, 2008 at 11:32 am

Ehh..Look at you. Trying to put the blame on others.
You call me troublemaker? But what about you?
    You can call yourself decent?

You want to use pshychological blackmail now.
You want me to believe that you have a kid sister.
If that is so, you have to worry so much about her.
At an early stage, she can give awful comments on others.
    That’s very alarming.

You can’t get respect because you don’t respect others too.

Oh, but what happened to the threatening tone and words? What happened to your threats of how you were going to see to it that we are punished? What happened to your claim to have me under surveillance? And your threats that I would be hearing from BYJ’s agency? How about your threats that “you don’t know what we [BYJ fanantics] can do”? Did it get you scared when I pointed out that in fact it’s YOU who are doing the illegal actions on the internet, with your stalking and your threats?

Chuchu: Why are you here, after 211 posts, if you hate it so much?

  13. 13 POP THIS! September 5, 2008 at 12:18 pm

And with that I’m going to end here, for the simple fact that there’s nothing more to add or defend.

Con Crit, I hope to see you at the next BYJ posting! :) Goodbye until then.

  14. 14 POP THIS! September 5, 2008 at 12:31 pm

One last thought: Chuchu is stupid but she is right: BYJ’s neck and face do look like they are running together. THIS is what I was talking about earlier when I said he no longer as the defined bone structure that made him so handsome. It’s not just this one picture, either. It’s every picture since the ending of the filming of Legend. That’s when it started. Sure, the bone structure in reality has not changed. It’s the composition/shape of the flesh of his face which has become soft and bloated due to over-use of beauty treatments. He looks shapeless, giving him a “femmy” look (to use Pop Seoul’s phrase). It’s really just sad and unfortunate. His smile has also gotten increasingly more forced, strained and not genuine. I used to see a gorgeous man whose smile could not be beat, a smile that reached even into his eyes which used to look like little half-moons when he grinned. His smile now is forced and it doesn’t reach up to his eyes, like he is annoyed to have to put on this happy face for his legion of fanatics that deep down he knows don’t care about him as a human being. They see him only as a product and an image. He is not the reserved but cheerful man I saw before who could be shy and playful. Now I see a sad, lonely, bloated-face man whom some people call “a man without sperm”, a man who has given up on being the artist he once dreamed of being and who now resigns himself to selling teddy bears and boxed kimchi and doing voicework for an old, played-out TV drama cartoon, a man who has become so vapid and uninspired that he repeats himself over and over in interviews, and whose only friend is an even-more “femmy” looking man, 10 years younger than himself, and who seems to serve no purpose but as a personal tea cozy for BYJ. It’s just all so sad.

And now, I really am finished. Until Pop Seoul delivers unto us the next BYJ post.

  15. 15 POP THIS! September 5, 2008 at 12:43 pm

Let me just correct one small thing: His face changing started during the filming of Legend. You can see the loss of noticeable bone structure, or rather the face begin to lose its structured shape. But it wasn’t severe yet so at this point he just looked “pretty” but did not look all-out weird yet. His lips also became thicker and more defined, very unusual for a man of near-forty and who smokes. During Legend filming he was having severe break-outs in his skin, caused by weather or makeup or maybe even nerves (as a Virgo he is highly prone to worry and anxiety which comes from his need for constant perfection). In any case that’s when he began visiting the beauty clinics more often, to help clear up the inflammation to his skin. At the same time they started using even more makeup on him during filming–towards the end you can really see it is caked on. That was to cover the marks of the inflammation. Finally, when filming was totally over he started going to beauty clinic every other day, sometimes two or three days in a row. He even skipped out on a major promotion appearance for Legend in Korea, citing sickness. It is believed this was due to not wanting to be seen in public with the skin problem. This was BEFORE the very end of filming, before he severely hurt himself. I believe that in addition to getting the skin inflammation cleared up, someone on his staff convinced himself to go in for anti-aging treatments as well. People will say anything to celebrities to get them to spend money. And with BYJ, as Virgo, he is vain and he needs perfection and sees imperfection everywhere especially in himself, so this leads to constant projects of “bettering myself”. People try to use celebrities, and passive types like BYJ who have admitted difficulty saying “no” to people, are easily manipulated. Maybe BYJ even knows he face looks bad but maybe he’s being told that it will normalize in due time. BYJ is a weak-willed person, so I can only imagine what they are saying to him to make him do what they want. No doubt they are playing on his need for perfection and also enforcing upon him the need to keep the fans pleased with youthful looks (even though there was nothing wrong with his looks before this). What else is there to say about a man who openly and with no shame admits “I am passive. I do whatever people tell me to do.” There’s something sad about a man who admits he can’t stand on his own two feet.

    And now I’m really done.

I was told that there are professionals who can take
care of that work. I just feed the info.
Don’t worry they will catch on you much faster than
    I can.

Why the change of tone? Because I already got what I’m
    looking for.

I doubt if PS can post anything again “with the warning”
    sent.

You’re done? no, you would still harass YJ and
post comments not only here but elsewhere because that’s
what you do for a living and you will try to find your next target.

Go on, spread your evils deads. Karma will still catch up
    with you sooner or later.

    “Karma will still catch up

I can live with that. I can live with that just fine. It’s you who should be worried about your “karma”, what with all your daming people to hell and so on.

    @ POP THIS!

:( That is the most depressing post I have ever read…Mr. Bae deserves better in life.

I haven’t seen the Legend yet but if all this is true and poor Mr. Bae is being used by manipulative people then all I can say is that, I hope this weak willed man finds himself a strong willed woman.

He really needs to find a life partner. He is too passive and won’t change this personality any time soon that is a given. So that being said, he needs someone who knows how to put their foot down and not be easy moved by others; Chinese astrology seriously just might be right. He being a Rat does need an Ox in his life.

Excuse me, constructive critic, I don’t mean to be rude in any way, but I once read an article about an occasion in which Yong Joon-ssi was being interviewed by a long line of reporters. when he grew tired of the interviews, he called a sudden halt to the sessions. Many of the reporters sent their complaints to him in the room where the interviews were being held. He very boldly asked the messenger, “what do I owe them?” this is not a question which a weak-willed individual would ask. I know from personal experience, because I am a very strong-willed woman and I would have asked the same kind of question, were I in Yong Joon-ssi’s place. He seems pretty tough to me. I think, perhaps, he may sometimes let his kindness take percidence over his determination. That is not a weakness. It is merely consideration. That’s something which he has in spades; consideration for others. All he asks is the same in return. And that is called “Humane Living”; his philosophy in life. My regards to you. Anna

Hope to see you at the next posting of Mr. Bae as well, POP THIS! Goodbye and Take care.

Hope by then Mr. Bae learns to smile and laugh again with his whole heart instead of forcing it.

  20. 21 Hurting September 5, 2008 at 3:46 pm

I believe YJ fan are decent ppl and are known to be very nice in the internet. more is just one of the few that are over protective but I cannot blame her too judging from the way the comments are being thrown against her and Bea Yong Joon.

She is just provoked. I am hurting that a man like Bae Yong Joon can be pictured as such human being. He is kind and sincere. If he is lonely, there is nothing we can do about it. Maybe he choose that kind of life. No one knows. It is not right for us to question how he will lead his life. We do not know who is he in real life.

It’s been a long time since I last posted a comment here, and I can confidently say that Pop This! is not Dumpling-Dumpling’s wit is stiletto sharp (not to everyone’s taste of course) and she writes succintly (no criticism to the former). And it’s sad to see people’s feathers getting ruffled over a mere mortal man, superstar or not. I liked BYJ’s work, but I fear that his star status is overshadowing his work as an actor (seriously, his co-stars were better than him in Legend).

  27. 28 Ajuma October 1, 2008 at 11:16 pm

That Pop This really Poppin’loves the sound of his own voice !
I hope he IS DONE…my ears are ringing and poppin’
    LOL !

  28. 29 Usagi October 2, 2008 at 10:08 pm

Wow the comments here are priceless o_O!!!

Poor BYJ, I see his relationship with Lee Phillip as strictly a role model and mentor for the new younger actor. Phillip Lee is new in the business and maybe needs some pointers and BYJ needs a friend so there goes their platonic relationship!!!

For all we know BYJ could be letting Phillip follow him around so Phillip can get more exposure for himself since he is a new actor.

  29. 30 Fair October 4, 2008 at 10:02 pm

Is Lee Phillip under the same agency as BYG? Maybe that is part of publicity so Lee Phillip will get more exposure? If BYG partly own the company then isn’t it for the good of both sides? besides if BYG is happy couldn’t we be happy for him?
Love him, adore him regardless of what people say!
    I rest my case.

Q.: Bae Yong-joon recently had surgery on his shoulder but his arm is in a cast? Not sure how you can have a cast on your arm if the shoulder was injured. Can someone explain this?

A.: If the shoulder have been surgery he must put the slling (Blue) in his arm because of his vain might be cut it and to make another portion way for the new vain. He drink some of his medicine for the vain like Vitamine B (1-6-12) complex.

I know this this because i had already this kind experience before i have this kind in my right shoulder surgery this July 16, 2008. I use to put my arm slling in less one month and to have my Rehabilitation Physical Theraphy everyday at the hospital until i came back home, sometimes i visit also at the hospital to have my check up and another 6 session of physical theraphy.

I’m very dissapointed bc BYJ look so gay and i watched Legend again , he is really gay in that drama , ruining his character . Jumong is still the best drama and SIG is handsome , elegant . manly as a King .

  33. 34 Annacronism November 5, 2009 at 4:33 pm

popseoul, you really are a moron. In the pictures you have here,Yong Joon-ssi is wearing a sling on his arm, not a cast. I know, because my eldest sister was a nurse, and my dad had to wear something similar once when he had a shoulder injury. Learn the difference, or at least learn something in life. You could take lessons in humanity from Bae Yong Joon. He would never say bad things about you as you do him. Have you no feeling for anyone? Not even for yourself, I should imagine. One must love oneself before being able to love anyone else. And for the unenlightened who have posted here, I am a member of BYJ’s fan “family” and for your information, I do not love this man because he is famous or handsome or wealthy. I love him because he is kind and loving, because he truly appreciates his “family”, and because he is a very talented actor who seeks perfection in every role he portrays. Stick that in your theory!!! Anna
