Kim Ah Joong is back in the spotlight after a 2 year hiatus from her success with the heavyweight film, “200 Pound Beauty.” The actress is set to star in a new movie called “29 Years,” based on the faction (fiction + fact) comic or “man-hwa”, “26 years” by Kang Pool. “26 years” tells the tale of the Gwangju Democratization Movement in the 1980’s under Chun Do-hwan’s presidency.
Kim Ah Joong will take the role of a woman who hooks up with a good-for-nothing , (played by Ryu Seung Bum) to plot the assassination of Korea’s president after having lost her father in the Gwangju massacre.
“29 years” is expected to be released in 2009-or exactly 29 years since the Gwangju massacre. Jin Goo of ”All In” and Byeon Hee-bong from the movie, ”The Host” also join the cast.

i read gossip about ryu seung-bum favored by some industry power players. while he is talented, due to kim ah-joong playing a “strong woman” sniper this time - i can’t help thinking bong tae-gyu could fit the lead just as well. they were great together in When Romance Meets Destiny. besides, ryu has played this tough street punk way too many times…nearly for his entire career!
I hope HE chops his hair and I hope SHE doesn’t!!!
i really don’t care,im not a fan of kim ah joong,i would probably watch the movie bcoz of ryu seung bum and jin goo..i really don’t know what makes her famous aside from 200 pound beauty,she’s not even beautiful,she look like a human crocodile in th pic lolzz,oh well her body rocks
Kim Ah Joong is sooo plastic that sometimes I fear that her face is going to fall off…just like Micheal Jackson. As I’m not too involved with her, is she just famous for doing plastic surgery or is there talent underneath the mask?
