I have no idea what “Rainism” means but the term probably has nothing to do with “controlling my mind of chicken breasts and vegetables.” However, if I were to guesstimate, then “Rainism” refers to the half-naked, hunkier and modern version of the 70’s disco group, Village People (above). Or it refers to Rain looking like Tom Cruise in the 80’s hit movies Top Gun and Cocktail (below). Or maybe I am getting blinded by staring at the computer all day and thinking/wishing that Rain would be Tom Cruise or singing YMCA?
Rain’s 5th album, “Rainism” will be out shortly but not before the full-fledged barrage of promos- first the comeback showcase at MBC Dream Concert on October 9th, then a television special on MBC called appropriately, “It’s Raining” on October 10th and then a week later, another comeback showcase called, “Me Rain Dance” on October 17th. And let’s not forget the 2nd teaser MV that will released on October 8th.

I still give credit when it is due even with Rain. However, I think I am agreeing with UHMJUNGHWA4EVER about the parody. Well, parody is not really the word I would like to use but it could be since I saw a new picture and it’s Rain is dressed like John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever.
And yes, I will have fun at the concert. But first, I’ll have fun at the showcase. Especially when I didn’t pay for it. I’ll love it.
Entertainer has to be sensational, daring, edgy! Rain has been doing it so well, successfully creating a buzz! Whatever he does, people talk about it. Love/hate him, he’s made you guys talk about him, MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! As simple as that. The pics have made it through, people keep on commenting the new image, 80’s, 70’s, whatever Village People, YMCA, Tom Cruise (haha too carried away, people?), 70’s and 80’s are so IN in the fashion world.
I personally think RAINISM sounds MUCH cooler, more creative, and controversial than whatever labels he and the team has come up with; RAIN’S COMING, IT’S RAINING, RAIN’S WORLD, RAINY Day, or Eternal Rain (gosh, can it be more lame?). RAINISM fits well with the intention of releasing a RAIN’s album. He’s coming back to spread his doctrines (read: his songs, dance, style), that’s it.
