Korea is still behind in terms of the mall scene- there is a single Banana Republic store in Shinsegae Department Store, Gap is also somewhere, Mango and Zara are here but for some reason the clothes are not the same and Forever 21 just arrived.
Unfortunately for Seoulites, these low to mid-priced chains are much more expensive. So to cater to money conscious shoppers who want trendy cheap clothes, Korea’s answer is to create copycat brands. Case in point, the casual clothing brand “H&M” is otherwise branded as “H&T.”
Suh In-young must really need money to model the lackluster clothes for the H&T Fall/Winter 2008-09 collection. Yawn. You can easily pick up equally boring clothes at Dong-dae-moon markets for half the price.

if you go to dongdaemoon, you can find really cute/stylish clothes cheap and they’re so much better quality than H&M or forever21—which i find disgustingly cheap.

before bashing H&T, you guys might want to do some research. they’re not some copycat brand that wants to imitate H&M. H&T is an international brand that some of you might know as Hang Ten. they’ve made it a little catchy or rather created a more stylish line which translates to the use of H&T, meaning Hang Ten & Trendy.
Just my two cents. Thought you guys might want to know.
