Joo Ji-hoon (Goong/ Princess Hours and The Devil) will be starring in the new movie, “Antique,” as the small bakery owner based on the best-selling Japanese manga of the same name. Directed by Min Gyu-dong, the movie will also star Kim Jae-wook (Coffee Prince) as the genius but effeminate patissier, “Son Woo”, the cute apprentice, “Ki Bum” will be played by Yoo A-in and the tough but clumsy waiter, “Su-young” by Choi Ji-ho.
“Antique” (Western Antique Cake-shop) will spread out in theaters on November 13, 2008.

Clearly you’ve never seen the Korean film ‘No Regret’. It’s true that the Korean entertainment industry isn’t very supportive of LGBT people, but let’s try not to generalize.

trying to show the more pro-LGBT side of Koreans and Korean netizens, but it seems like nobody bothered to read it. One of the comments just below my comment read ‘Koreans are so straight-laced and narrow-minded’. That’s a generalization, and it’s racist; substitute a few words in that sentence and you get ‘Koreans are so dirty and uncivilized’.
Koreans and Korean netizens are getting better. For anyone who believes the racist equation of ‘Korean people/netizens=homophobic’, read the comment I’ve linked to above. By generalizing, you’re not giving the pro-LGBT Koreans (myself included) any credit, even when we put in a lot of effort to have our voices heard.
If you can’t read Korean, then all your information on the Korean entertainment industry tends to come from sites like popseoul, not from Korean portal sites. Which means that you get ALL of your information from sites like popseoul, missing out on a lot of information from Korean portal sites on the way. You end up having a very one-sided view.
Popseoul, you should start posting about pro-LGBT netizens as well (see the link I posted, it would be a good start) otherwise idiots are just going to keep on generalizing and being racist.
