What’s more delicious than cake?

Four scrumptious guys and cake (with coffee….on a comfy sofa together in a cozy private room…)

Joo Ji-hoon (Goong/ Princess Hours and The Devil) will be starring in the new movie, “Antique,” as the small bakery owner based on the best-selling Japanese manga of the same name. Directed by Min Gyu-dong, the movie will also star Kim Jae-wook (Coffee Prince) as the genius but effeminate patissier, “Son Woo”, the cute apprentice, “Ki Bum” will be played by Yoo A-in and the tough but clumsy waiter, “Su-young” by Choi Ji-ho.

“Antique” (Western Antique Cake-shop) will spread out in theaters on November 13, 2008.

Check out the trailer for “Antique”

  2. 2 Masaya October 13, 2008 at 10:55 pm

Me like this very much. If JJH and KJW are a real couple in real life that’s even better. (KJW was molesting JJH on purpose on the set anyways. kaka)

but yeah, this movie is going to be fabulous!

  11. 11 suck it up October 14, 2008 at 1:16 am

the manga is shounen-ai. im pretty surprised that “yaoi-ish” scenes are in the film. in the jdorama it was downplayed. Shiina Kipei is such a good Tachibana. let’s see if JJH can do it as well. the guy playing Ono seems to fit the role.

  12. 12 starz12 October 14, 2008 at 1:40 am

way, can you believe this movie, four hotties in one screen, difinitely watching this. and choi ji wo is here, i havent seen him in a drama except time between dog and wolf.. and what’s up with kim jae wook having kissing scene with almost all of the guys.

  13. 13 Gie October 14, 2008 at 1:56 am

kyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa…cant wait to watch this muvee….

is it a muvee or series???

i love the manga….cant wait to see the live-actions

  14. 14 evvy October 14, 2008 at 1:57 am

haha, this looks like a fun drama! I’ll keep it on my radar. Kim JaeWook!

  15. 15 awesome October 14, 2008 at 2:02 am

wow!!! all the actors are yummy. i hope their acting is good, too, though (i haven’t seen joo ji hoon in the devil but didn’t think he was that great in goong…apparently he’s improved? and the coffee prince dude is pretty but his acting was awkward in his previous dramas…he looks good in the preview, though. yoo ah in is cute as always, though i’m not familiar with the body guard dude. andy gillet looks hot as well).

this looks like a great movie to introduce the gay theme since it comes in such a lovely and sweet package.

@boolie2woolie ;; Kim Jae Wook is of korean ethnicity. He grew up in Japan until he was 7 or 8 before going back to Korea, and I’m pretty sure japanese was his first language.

  17. 17 yo October 14, 2008 at 2:29 am

    I can’t wait!

  18. 18 eh? October 14, 2008 at 2:52 am

why is it that every time i see kim jae wook he has food in his hands?

  19. 19 Hero-JaeJoong October 14, 2008 at 3:00 am

    oooh its a movie?
seems interesting enough and its all guys O.O
Cant wait to see Joo ji hoon acting again although his moustache makes him look more matured now.
    And Kim Jae Wook !
Loved him in Coffee Prince, but he look really feminie in this picture XD
and with the cherry lips too.hehe.
he always seem so cool, but he look really different for this movie ^^

  20. 20 Kayla October 14, 2008 at 3:00 am

I can already tell this will bring a WHOLE lot of chicks to the movies…. if only I was in Korea :/

I still have the manga even though I don’t generally read them anymore. It’s very well written :]

  21. 21 Sylvia October 14, 2008 at 3:16 am

    Yaoi/Shonen-ai isnt really my stuff.
BTW, the french is EXTREMELY hot ! *_*
    What’s his name ??
    I think he’s a model.

  22. 22 tewkewl October 14, 2008 at 3:36 am

sick. will not pay to see homos kissing. sorry. this one’s a pass for me. if you had this movie with no homos then i’d consider watching. it would have been better with a girl owner and three guy workers all of whom have a crush on the owner.

  23. 23 hah October 14, 2008 at 3:48 am

tewkewl: lol what a typical story for heteros then.

  24. 24 invisibelle October 14, 2008 at 3:56 am

wow joo ji hoon looks shockingly hot

  27. 27 ChiChi October 14, 2008 at 4:47 am

    Ah.
    Kim Jae Wook.
    Lovely.
I can’t imagine him effeminate though after he was such a tough meanie in CP.

  28. 28 lucile October 14, 2008 at 5:15 am

    Jooooooooooooooooo jiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii hoooooooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn !!!!!!!!!!!

  29. 29 asianromance October 14, 2008 at 5:15 am

the poster reminds me of the Goong posters. And Kim Jae Wook is too pretty in this- makes me jealous!! And I hope Joo Ji Hoon acts better in this. I thought he was bland and stiff in Goong but from the trailer, it looks like he’s got more personality. This is definitely a movie for girls- you’ve got the pretty cakes and the all-guy cast.

  30. 30 live4music October 14, 2008 at 5:17 am

hmmm im not really a fan of the Yaoi/Shonen-ai stuff. but this movie looks really good.

  31. 31 beth October 14, 2008 at 6:09 am

  36. 36 Megan October 14, 2008 at 8:29 am

    Wait.. what the..

Is it just me, or does the trailer have scenes of the European guy kissing one of the feminine looking guys?

  37. 37 LadyIgraine October 14, 2008 at 8:38 am

It reminds me a lot of “Coffee Prince” for some reason ^_^

  38. 38 lev October 14, 2008 at 8:43 am

What’s with the boy love?! :O All in all, this looks funny! Definately watching this. XD

  39. 39 slave303 October 14, 2008 at 9:00 am

I just realized… if Lee Eon was here, he’d probably play that role of the clumsy waiter :(

  41. 41 727 October 14, 2008 at 9:37 am

OMGGG, Kim Jae-wook actually kisses a guy!!!! I missed the trailer the first time around!

  42. 42 727 October 14, 2008 at 9:38 am

Well of course he plays the guy character but still….ah my image of Kim Jae-wook…weeps

  43. 43 727 October 14, 2008 at 9:39 am

    whoops I meant gay character

  44. 44 Anna Bessonova #1 October 14, 2008 at 11:34 am

“I’m really glad to see more Korean mainstream movies with homosexual themes or undertones.”

    I’m not.

The Korean entertainment industry reduces homosexual characters into sex objects to excite fangirls. You see all these boy band members rubbing up against each other, but when an actual homosexual comes out of the closet he’s ripped apart mercilessly and is ostracized by his fans and family.

I know every nation does that, but with Korea it’s almost epidemic.

  45. 45 pringLe October 14, 2008 at 11:46 am

joo ji hoon looks sexy now hehe

  46. 46 travp16 October 14, 2008 at 12:39 pm

Dude I ant to see this. But was with with Korean and pastries?? I must admit Kim Jae-wook kinda of looks i a girl, but he was smexxy in Coffee Prince.

  47. 47 Greg October 14, 2008 at 12:48 pm

well korea…keep making movies…but please stop with the fans, their too much…or atleast quit sending the fans to america…but keep sending your movies…I NEED THEM

  48. 48 mygookness October 14, 2008 at 1:21 pm

  49. 49 jicks October 14, 2008 at 2:13 pm

    @caramelpuddingg – I agree <3
