So Ji-sub and Shin Hyun-joon have been confirmed to play as brothers in the SBS drama “Cain and Abel,” slated for 2009.
After more than 4 years, both So Ji-sub (Sorry I love you) and Shin Hyun-joon (Stairway to Heaven) make their way back to the small screen.
So Ji Sub will play younger brother and doctor, “Cheo In” who is struggling against the establishment. In contrast, Shin Hyun Joon plays the older disgruntled brother, “Sun Woo” who believes that he has gotten the shorter end of the stick in life.
Over 2 years in the making, the female lead has been set-Chae Jung Ahn, was chosen due to her role in the hit drama, “Coffee Prince” last year.
Cain and Abel has been fraught with delays so far but is expected to air in 2009.

I remember Jung Ryu Won and Ji Jin Hee were going part of the original cast for this drama but they backed out because the drama kept being postponed.
I was excited for the original cast, but I guess the new cast is still good. Anywhoo, I still can’t wait to for the drama to come out. I hope it’s good.

I don’t think this drama will be cheesy, all the actors are of high caliber, especially So Ji Sub, and a great director/writer, I will be watching it.
I love & enjoy watching So Ji sub. Hope its a good ending w Cain & Abel. Looking forward to watching it w SJS. I thought Ji Jin hee was the other lead as his brother.

shin hyun joon replaced ji jin hee who backed out because of the too many delays of the drama.
oh and chae jung ahn’s role was supposed to be played by jung ryeo won. i guess she backed out too.
