Dong-bang-shin-ki nabs the #1 spot on the Oricon charts in Japan with their 24th single, “Spell” (주문) from their album, “Mirotic” on October 15th.
Despite focusing on the fans of the motherland with performances and television appearances, the boys have snagged the coveted spot without much promotion.
However, ignoring fans in Japan would not be a smart move. DBSK will visit Japan on October 15-16 to tend to fans and will be back in time for their Mnet Countdown performance on the 16th.

Tenjochiki is definitely my favorite girl group in the entire Asian pop scene. I have yet to seen a female group that can be as well rounded as they are in live singing/harmonizing/dancing/appearance. A lot of people don’t know it, but they dish out amazing vocals on dance tracks like Piranha (@ A-Nation) and can even compete against groups like Big Mama on slow ballads.
It really dazzles me why Tenjochiki never hits popularity. I mean, there is no other group at the moment that is as amazing as they are. I guess maybe the beautiful, sexy image they have isn’t as demanded as the cute sexy image that is so popular right now.
Anyhow, after saying that, I would definitely still not say Tohoshinki is overrated. In fact, Tenjochiki and Tohoshinki are almost like female/male versions of each other, aside from their names being similar, the two are of the most well-rounded in every area in the music industry.
i can’t wait to get my cd’s….should be getting it next week sometime…yippppeeeeeeeeeeee!!! love this group!

It’s obvious WHY TJCK hasn’t been that popular. In Korea or Japan, they are never promoted or heavily promoted -_- Which sucks because everyone needs to know how crazily talented they are.

uhh.. no way DBSK is more popular than Boa in Japan. Boa has been out a lot longer than DBSK in Korea and in Japan. I love DBSK, but I still think Boa is much more popular. Although her singles has only hit number one 2? times on the Oricon charts, most of her albums hit number 1.

i agree, if they do that their hard work will be wasted because the music industry in japan is way bigger than the music industry in korea. there are always bands popping out. and there are a lot of really good ones too. so they should be careful!
