Wait, another awards show?
This is just the beginning….
The 2008 Korea Drama Festival brought out a few notables big names down south to Jinju city.
As you already know, awards are given out to as many people as possible. And this awards show is no different. There are 3 levels of awards for “best” actors and actress based possibly on age group. The winner of the grand prize award went to Kim Myung-min for his performance in the TV drama “Beethoven Virus.” Next level of winners include actor Choi Soo-jong for his role in the historical drama, “Dae Jo Young,” actress Kim Ha-neul for role as an actress (no big stretch there) for “On Air.” And the third level of “best actor/actress award” goes to the 20-somethings, Han Ji-hye for “Likeable or Not” and Kim Rae-won for his role as a chef in “Gourmet”
And we can’t forget - the ‘Hallyu Achievement’ award went to Mr Hallyu, Bae Yong-joon.
And what’s drama without music? Performances were by Fly To the Sky, Super Junior Happy and Shin Hye-sung.
Kim Ha-neul, winner of a “Best actress award” for “On Air keeps it low key in a short black dress with some fringe detailing on her dress…. Maybe she’s trying to bring some flair to her outfit, but she’s not the only one (check below)
Han Ji-hye, another winner of the “Best actress” for “Likeable or Not” keep it simple too with a white fringey dress. Not much difference from Han Ha-neul. They must have called each other to coordinate outfits.
Kim Sung-eun tries to make a dramatic statement with this long red gown but fails. Why? Because the dress is obviously borrowed (it drags on the floor) and it doesn’t fit her very well. We know that woman can dress well…wait…oh…got her mixed up with So Yu-jin. Scary.
Lee Jin should hem her dress. It’s not cool when your borrowed dress is dragging on the floor. There’s nothing spectacular to note with the dress other than it’s keeping with the “fringe and ruffles” theme-sorta.
Park Min-young has not much competition for being the best dressed of the night. In keeping with the ruffle theme, the brown dress is, shall we say….. nice…but it’s not that flattering because it’s too long.
Kim Bum looks tight in a tailored black suit. 
Choi Soo-jong adds only a touch of color with a white hankie in his left breast pocket. Otherwise, the best actor winner is all black.
Kim Myung-min, winner of the top award for Best Actor brings back the classic double breasted suit in gray but the suit doesn’t suit him well (pants are too short and the suit doesn’t hang well). Too bad.

I actually really like Han Ji Hye’s dress… I can’t tell what it is (probably a Valentino), but whatever brand, she has a tall enough frame to pull it off nicely.
I don’t think their dresses are borrowed (although it may) just because it’s on the floor. For some of the dresses, it may be the look they are going for when they want to pose for pictures.
Popseoul, I like what you publish, but not how you phrase things. It doesn’t sound edgy, but just negative and nitpicky. A lot of what you say sounds like you are just trying to start rumors. It’s not very well played.
i actually like the red gown..it’s quite long though..
but who knows, the extra length might be intentionally added by the designer

I think the extra long dresses are done on purpose. don’t a lot of evening gowns drag a bit on the floor anyways. Or maybe the dresses were designed for 4 inch heels or for an idealized body type (or for a Westernized body). we know a lot of these celebs are just short asian women despite what magazines and photoshop try to tell you. I actually like the red gown and thought these gowns were a bit better than what some people wore to other awards show.

i think she looked the best. han ji hye’s dress was also very nice. for the actresses..with all the money they’re making, you’d think they’d spend some on hemming their dresses…

I actually like Lee Jin’s and Han Ji Hyes’! All the dresses weren’t stunning, but still very lovely!

something about Kim Ha Neul looks different… i can’t figure out what it is. i think she looks so much better with long hair like that.
i’ve never really liked Han Ji Hye… but even i must admit that she is looking gorgeous lately. better stylist, maybe?
is it just me or Lee Jin looks like Sung Yuri these days??? You don’t even see her ugly gums when she smiles now. i know she had major jaw/teeth surgery but dang she looks like Sung Yuri now.
Is it me or is Kim Ha-neul looking younger and younger? It makes me wonder did she do something to her face?

Anyway, is it me or Kim Ha-Neul seemed more womanly and sexy nowadays? Is it after appearing with Daniel Henney in some commercial? She has always been more girl-next-door since ‘My Tutor Friend’ days with Kwon Sang Woo…can’t put a finger to it…anybody?
I like the red dress too, especially the way its cut on the back side.. it looks so good on her..she definately can pull it off. I know I wouldn’t be able to.
