It was already foretold that Big Bang and Lee Hyori would do a collaboration together at the MKMF awards that aired on November 15, 2008, BUT, what fans didn’t know was that TOP would have to kiss the pop princess as the intro into their 2007 hit “Lies” and their 2008 hit “Haru Haru”.
The performance was generally well choreographed but during the performance of “Haru Haru”, an incessant high voice seemed to be included into the song.
But props must be given to Seungri of Big Bang. His rendition of Hyori’s 2008 hit “U-Go-Girl” was pretty smooth. Ironically, the youngest member and the thirty-something year old pop princess seemed to have some chemistry going on during their performance.
To finish off this collaboration, Big Bang’s G-Dragon helped remix Hyori’s “10 minutes”.

when i watched the perf i thought Top was going to kiss Hyori on her forehead..it did look like she was expecting the same thing .. then he looked both sides of the audience with his mischievious smile .. n kissed her on the lips ( real quick) .. i was pretty sure hyori was surprised too lolz .. i found this both cute and they both deserved the awards .. for hyori with her weak vocal .. she has been working real hard .. so yup people should stop bashing bcoz she did work hard to achieve where she is today. anyway, the kiss was unexpected and not impressive at all. as for the singing and dancing, i’m at a loss of words as to how they could’ve performed so poorly. All I heard was a bunch of noise and dancing? only very FEW notable moves from Big Bang.
Overall very poor and a far cry from good when compared to the performances from Wondergirls, Rain, and DBSK (who i thought was at least 4 levels below the first two!) that night.
They ruined those beautiful songs in my opinion.
