Big Bang is coming to America

bigbang_081119

Big Bang is finally coming to America!

Unfortunately, it’s not to perform.

With another hectic year winding down, Big Bang’s trip to the states is to get away from hullabaloo of the Korean music industry. But it’s not all just play. The boys will also be stepping up on their English skills and learning new dance moves (what else?). However, their objective smells strongly of a potential desire for an American debut…. but for that, we’ll have to wait and see.

Not only are the Big Bang boys coming for vacationing and career development, but they are coming to support G-Dragon who is coming to America to work on his solo album with U.S. producers. No word yet on whether or not it will be an all English album like their Japanese album “Number 1″ or which side of the continent he will be residing in (our bets are on Los Angeles because label mates Danny and Teddy of 1Tym as well as Se7en are stationed there as well).

If all goes according to plan, the boys of Big Bang will be saying goodbye to Korea and hello to America sometime in February 2009. The time also marks the end of their promotional activities for the second album “Remember”.

Either way, if the boys make it to Cali, they have to try a bit of America in the form of the  In n Out “animal style burgers and fries” (yum!).

In n Out burgers are the best. We have one in our neighborhood. I hope that goes for the Big Bang group as well. Try their animal style fries; and while you’re at it, order one of their shakes too. Yummy!!!! All that for less than 10 bucks. Oh,oh,oh, if you’re a big eater, you may have the triple triple burger instead of the double double. Big Bang… welcome to Hollywood.

  13. 13 pi-chan November 18, 2008 at 9:57 pm

  27. 27 mrs. jaejoong November 19, 2008 at 3:55 am

their english material is terrible. I’m a huge fan of their Korean stuff but I really hope they don’t try to do America

i’m really expecting more of their activities in 2009 , it gonna blows korea and ( maybe the world ) away , wish them all the best and enjoy this one-in-a-while break ( well, eventhough they still have to work )

  31. 31 Big A November 19, 2008 at 4:36 am

In N Out is koo, but Ive never tried animal style….gotta do that some day.

  32. 32 luvvinit November 19, 2008 at 4:40 am

so their potentially last album b4 hiatus in korea is remember??~~

    remember-us-cus-well-be-gone-for-along-long-time…

    ngeeeks..
i only got into big bang and now theyre leaving???

  33. 33 Anne November 19, 2008 at 4:43 am

Oh man!! I used to loooooove animal style but there’s just so much cheese. Eek. anyways. Happy that BB is coming to LA! Not really going to go out and stalk them but it’ll be a nice change for them to be out of Korea. =)

  34. 34 TEE November 19, 2008 at 4:52 am

Hold On! Aren’t they meant to be in Japan??? Don’t tell me they just brought out a Japanese album [in English btw] and now their going off to America? I don’t think they know that the Japanese music industry is hard to break through!

  35. 35 Joli November 19, 2008 at 5:00 am

When will these artists realize they have a perfectly good thing back home? If there’s any truth to this rumor, Big Bang is probably going to end up attempting to break into the American market for years and come back to a dwindling fanbase. I don’t want to see that happen.
And, not to sound like a hater because BB is my fave KPOP group, but why do I get the feeling that “American Producers” was just thrown into the mix to get a glamorous effect?

  36. 36 reymack1 November 19, 2008 at 5:00 am

    last….grrr

  37. 37 bella November 19, 2008 at 5:15 am

then daesungie will have to take a break from family outing then… well, as for their english I´m not very anxious, soc basically YG only owns singer that are more or less english-skilled,,,… maybe it´s their policy or just an coincidence? personally, I´m not believing the latter one….

  38. 38 Rin November 19, 2008 at 5:25 am

I’m sure Big Bang would like to debut in the U.S. but not anytime soon. This trip is mainly to learn about American culture, relax and work on GD’s solo album. I’m hoping they don’t have concerts. I love them, but they need to rest.

On a lighter note, now YG can focus on his new girl group set to debut around February.

  39. 39 felisshi November 19, 2008 at 5:26 am

I thought they’re coming to the U.S. just to take a crash course in English. If they will be based in California, they might learn a little ” Hola cabron ; que paso carnal “. That would be funny.

  40. 40 idiots November 19, 2008 at 5:28 am

BIg Bang is taking a long need vacation in the USA. GD is going to work on producing his KOREAN solo album [could be a mini album]the other members will be training their skills in music and dance and have a break away from the hectic korean industry. They will be living in Cali because GD wants to work with Se7en, Taebin, and other yg affiliates. BUT they could have a tour of america AS TOURISTS and go visit hotspots since they will have 2-3 months of vacation

  41. 41 LadyIgraine November 19, 2008 at 5:49 am

Definitely! If the boys are going to come to Cali, they really need to go local.

  42. 42 xingyzheng November 19, 2008 at 5:57 am

    please just stay in Korea…

  43. 43 travp16 November 19, 2008 at 6:35 am

Dude screw LA. Come to NY!!! But i do have love for LA.

  44. 44 teukie_oppa November 19, 2008 at 7:22 am

    SCREW AMERICA.

    COME TO ENGLAND.

  45. 45 miss_g-dragon November 19, 2008 at 7:27 am

omg i’am going to kiss g-dragonn when i see him..omg

  46. 46 xmerokox November 19, 2008 at 7:28 am

Damn, February 2009?! I’m going to be in Asia March-August and wanted to catch them live somewhere =( BB just *would* be coming to the states when I’m not here..

  47. 47 ............. November 19, 2008 at 7:35 am

i love Big Bang, but i think they shouldnt come to the US to debut XP
geez, im korean, but i think korean stars should stop coming to the states all at once to make more money and fans i guess.. r the not happy with korea?? D:
and i think the US will make em look…. different.. Big Bang probably ahs a higher chance of success than BoA and Bi, but but i still dont want to see every girl in my school or something to go crazy over our korean boys :D

  48. 48 ............. November 19, 2008 at 7:46 am

but since theyre not performing and but to just take a break… …………………………………stalking time :P

  49. 49 Noodle November 19, 2008 at 7:50 am

TOP’s not in the photo.. Probably because of the accident. The space they left in the middle reminds me of Kanjani8. I think it’s a good thing to do.

  50. 50 allie November 19, 2008 at 8:09 am

    WHOOHOO!!!!

  51. 51 iPoop November 19, 2008 at 8:13 am

    OMG TIME TO STALK THEM!

  52. 52 YGfangirl November 19, 2008 at 8:16 am

as much as i dont like the whole “lets go to america” trend…you have to admit…Big Bang is probably the only korean group right now that has any potential of making it big in the US…besides mayb Epik High (who I would love to see in the US, the depth of their lyrics is just awesome..) but BB has ALOT more potential…they’ve already recorded enough english songs to put out a decent album not to mention, they’ve worked with american choreographers and swedish music directors already…its about time they hit the American market..

  53. 53 getoutofmyCOUNTRY November 19, 2008 at 8:27 am

wow another one. koreans just dont get it. what you have in KOREA is 100 times better than what you will ever have in AMERICA. STOPING COME HERE TO FAIL !!

  54. 54 koko November 19, 2008 at 8:34 am

makes sense that they’re coming in feb 2009.
because the “female big bang” is suppose to debut around that time.

more spotlight time for the girls?

  55. 55 elusive November 19, 2008 at 8:57 am

so much for getting fangirls’ hopes up. i love how twisted all the words, popseoul.

  56. 56 elusive November 19, 2008 at 8:58 am

THEY ARE NOT DEBUTING HERE IN AMERICA PPL!

  57. 57 Ebony November 19, 2008 at 8:58 am

I adore Big Bang, but they have to come out strong especially since they are Hip Hop or they will tank over here!!!!!!!!

  58. 58 xmiyuki November 19, 2008 at 9:07 am

oh hell yeah, go in n out :D !

  59. 59 tralala November 19, 2008 at 9:09 am

  60. 60 Clare November 19, 2008 at 9:11 am

They HAVE to go to In ‘n Out. :D

  61. 61 riki November 19, 2008 at 9:11 am

said it two months ago, they are secretly making moves to come to america. i am so glad to be proven right.
its not the boys first time to the us. i saw them back in the day before their album came out with the whole yg family in new york back in 06. you know g-dragon’s album will be interesting to say the least. he is a genius when it comes to composition.

  62. 62 SARS November 19, 2008 at 9:13 am

Cool! I hope they come to LA. As for their English, I hope they take it seriously…they could do well in America, but it’ll be tough.

  63. 63 Cera November 19, 2008 at 9:21 am

Best of luck, Big Bang! The girlies will like you, that’s for sure ^_^

  64. 64 ikki November 19, 2008 at 9:23 am

if they are coming for a visit
    then welcome
but if they are thinking about making a career here
    urgh…. no thanks
dont think they can make it
    ew…..
    the english is horrible
even my grandma can speaks or sings better than them

  65. 65 Katelyn November 19, 2008 at 9:36 am

  68. 68 Jazzy November 19, 2008 at 10:32 am

    Wooo!
i hope i see them here in Ca!
    excited!!

  69. 69 CaseyyyMarie November 19, 2008 at 10:35 am

Yay!. I love them. I hope they go to Seattle to preform. I live in alaska, and I highly, highly doubt they will come up here. Even though we do have a fairly large Korean population.
But I am willing to fly to see them. =]
To marry my Daesung of course

  70. 70 Anais69 November 19, 2008 at 11:02 am

Did you say Feb. 2009? L.A is the place to stay. Plenty of sunshine, cool weather. If they miss the snow, they can go to Big Bear mountain; the beach, there’s Malibu, Venice ;theme parks, how about Disneyland, Magic Mountain, Knottsberry Farm and Universal Studios. Night life? Just walk along Hollywood Blvd/Sunset strip or perhaps go to Vegas. So, how much time is left for English 101, dance and voice lessons, etc. Korea, BB might even go for an extension.

  71. 71 miso November 19, 2008 at 11:04 am

i think they are pretending… i bet they want to debut

  72. 72 blue November 19, 2008 at 11:35 am

BB will not be debuting in the states. Ex. Se7en. I think YG needs to let Taeyang release a full album, let G-Dragon produce it. Ask TOP to beg Jaejoong to be on a track of the album and call it a day.

  73. 73 kitty November 19, 2008 at 12:01 pm

    ouu heck yes.
GD can come on over to MY HOUSE.
    kekeke.
on a more serious note, they deserve a vacation, even if they’re “studying”. (:

  74. 74 4everseika November 19, 2008 at 12:07 pm

    that sooo coool!!!

  75. 75 D November 19, 2008 at 12:07 pm

  76. 76 vivian0304 November 19, 2008 at 12:20 pm

good, no need to success in America, who care, they popular enough

  77. 77 LSA November 19, 2008 at 12:25 pm

hahah in response to someones comment up there. they are probably going to LA. NY is wayyy to cold. even I dont want to be here right now. its friggin brick outside. but the boys arent the only thing I wish would ship over to this side of the country…IN + OUT too! we need one here! soo friggin good.

  78. 78 CAPncrunch November 19, 2008 at 12:45 pm

uh UH man.. hell effing no. DONT DO IT. I LOVE YOU BIG BANG. but if u come to America you will be looked at as a JOKE!

  79. 79 lalala November 19, 2008 at 1:14 pm

  81. 81 candis November 19, 2008 at 1:44 pm

  84. 84 saranghae November 19, 2008 at 2:07 pm

    SAN FRANCISCO!!!! PLEASEPLEASE
lol dbsk ate in n out when they went here

  85. 85 sierra November 19, 2008 at 2:08 pm

I think they will have an easier task… they already have an English album… they just need some polishing, and they’re good to go… why G-D only? Hmmm… They should have a duo… G-D and TOP… then they’d be unstoppable…

  86. 86 Pualani November 19, 2008 at 3:07 pm

I love Big Bang! And so glad that they’ll be vacationing here in the States! I hope that they visit the Bay Area! I wouldn’t mind running into TOP in the city..hehehehe

  87. 87 SMILE XD November 19, 2008 at 3:16 pm

eeeh boy bands will never make it here in the US
so its pretty fortunate that they wont be debuting
    hopefully they wont…

  88. 88 Izumi November 19, 2008 at 3:17 pm

Aw man, ever since I got addicted to looking up Japanese DoCoMo phones, the Korean phones just don’t look very cool anymore to me…

    OTL

  89. 89 Lola November 19, 2008 at 3:57 pm

Well, here we go again. Big Bang is going to turn out just like Rain, Se7en, and Boa. None of them go anywhere! They should just stick to Korea because no one in the U.S. will accept Korean fobs trying to rap in English.

  90. 90 valski November 19, 2008 at 4:21 pm

whoa! popseoul knows what’s up with In-N-Out! Don’t forget the neopolitan shake!!

  91. 91 bessie November 19, 2008 at 5:21 pm

does that mean daesung’s going to leave family outing? =(

  92. 92 dwight November 19, 2008 at 6:25 pm

in n out is damn awesome. especially with spread…. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

  93. 93 TomatoJuice November 19, 2008 at 7:27 pm

where the hell is TOP in the above pic?

  94. 94 Rin November 19, 2008 at 8:59 pm

Go Ji! Hahahas but he should touch up on his english first, it just sounds…off hhahahs. He doesn’t have a HUGE accent though, very neat. ” In n Out “animal style burgers and fries” (yum!).” popseoul, you think YG’s going to let the boys do that?!?! I bet you, vacation still means strict diet’s, he’ll probably crack it or burst a blood vessel hahahs. Tabi’s become a fruit addict now anyways xD They might go down and visit Shaun and Aimee, what do you guys think? ^^ and of course, bust some moves too!~ I hope they have anice vacation though, relax and actually go to some concerts, do some shopping. Have fun guys, i’ll be keeping track ;) hahas sounds stalker-ish..

  95. 95 Rin November 19, 2008 at 9:01 pm

also agree with tomatojuice, leave Tabi out of the picture why don’t you popseoul, gees, so mean hehes, it seems odd that a topic with Big Bang is missing one of them in the picture.

  96. 96 j November 19, 2008 at 9:33 pm

NO! DON’T GO TO AMERICA!!! T_T T_T PLEASSEEEEEE. YOU CAN STAY IN KOREA AND LEARN ENGLISH THERE. DON’T. LEAVE.

  97. 97 Lisha November 19, 2008 at 11:09 pm

Why do they have to go to America? Why can’t they go here in England?

  98. 98 Kaybee November 19, 2008 at 11:17 pm

Good news but Korean shore is more promising :)

I predict a massive wave of fangirls moving or driving their way out to LA this next year and camping out at every street corner… yee haw…

  108. 108 haku November 20, 2008 at 1:31 pm

why does everyone think big bang has a chance of making it big here in america?

do you have any idea how many have tried and failed?

i hate to be the bearer of bad news but they simply wont make it.

first thing - they have to speak english without an accent.

second thing - they have to learn some kind of martial arts

third thing - amercian has to change its views on asians in the entertainment industry and in general, which wont happen anytime soon, if ever.

my advice? stick to asian countries because the US isnt open minded enough.

  109. 109 Wendy November 20, 2008 at 3:45 pm

FINALLY! Lol I don’t live that far from Los Angeles XD

  110. 110 Dee November 20, 2008 at 3:53 pm

  113. 113 Jerk November 21, 2008 at 4:03 am

Big bang would be wise to not try to debut in the US, omarion and chris brown would be dragging their asses to court if they ever saw some of their crappy ass videos LOL.

Big bang is nothing but a less talented gay-er version of omarion, and chris brown really. lol they’d get laughed out in a split second.

  114. 114 xproud2bapnayx November 21, 2008 at 1:23 pm

  115. 115 nina November 21, 2008 at 1:34 pm

haku is right, America is so not open-minded enough. they only like what they like and do not think out of the box.

  116. 116 Courty November 21, 2008 at 3:50 pm

Omg In’n'out is the bomb! I was just there yesterday. The only thing that could make it more tasty is if big bang were there too.

  125. 125 loveshatori November 27, 2008 at 8:09 am

@ jerk you are kidding me with Chris brown right?
sure he can dance but sing? no offense but big bang can actually sing and dance?
I can understand if you mentioned usher but omarion?
last time i checked he ain’t so popular anymore. Not to say his fans love him anyless or that he isn’t talented.
But also unlike Omarion big bang always bring something new whether it is r&b, hip hop, pop, house, electonic . . .
so stop bashing big bang they definitely don’t deserve it.

  126. 126 myoungjae November 27, 2008 at 10:57 am

how the hell are bb goin to debt in america .
boA’s been a celeb since she was 15 and shes still climbin the ladder ..

i think bb is just avoidin kr and using it as an excuse since artists lik bi and dong bang shin ki came bk and they fell down the k-pop market lik a slide

i think they are better off focusin on one spot
first it was jp nw america
    Wts nxt china ?

  133. 133 DHV December 28, 2008 at 1:21 am

i LOVE big bang and wish them all thebest

but realy, they won’t make it.
i NEVER even hear of Boa Before until my friend gave me a song ofhers.

U never know but i really doubt they are going to make it.

stick to one country boys :)
America is a very big,,, talanted country. its a hard world out there.
    DON’T DEBUT
but go to relax for sure. But if they were smart they wudn’t debut.

If only I had a reason to go to California, no wait they’ll be here for 4 months from February - June….Now I have to convince my mother that we should vacation in Cali….Hmmm……. xD

But they should be attracted in visiting Hawaii, man they should come to Hawaii…I’ll have more chances of running into them….hopefully lol

    xD
