You would think being a public figure would make you more aware of the news floating around especially when it concerns you. But obviously, T.O.P. has been living in a bubble.
Recently, TOP confessed to the Korean online news site, Newsen that he had no idea about the rumors of his “attempted” suicide until two days into his hospitalization. Ironically, on the day of the incident, the group members were clueless that TOP was in critical condition because of their full day commitments. When the remaining 4 members discovered that TOP didn’t come out of his room (which doesn’t make sense considering they were out all day), the managers broke into his room and rushed him to the emergency room.
The reason that TOP brought up this issue again was to probably apologize to all the VIPs. However, isn’t it a little too late? Already, almost two weeks have passed since the incident yet he only now feels compelled to bow his head in apology?
Oh well, we all know that the fans will eat it all up and give them more attention and love. Smart move on YGs part.

I think a lot of stars choose to not look up their own names on the internet unless it’s something so big that their manager or someone else brings it up.
I’ve heard that most celebrities never get a happy ending when they click the “X” after reading posts/news about themselves on the internet. Most of them end up feeling depressed, angry, or unfairly stained after reading about comments, so I can imagine TOP didn’t really bother to look up stuff about himself much, and then probably heard word from his management or somewhere that he should address it.
But yeah, PopSeoul is correct in that it is one way to get your name back up on the top 10 most searched list on Daum.

With what is going on now in Korea (highly publicized rates of suicides among showbiz personalities and the likes); in my opinion, sometimes it is better to just ignore reading e-mails or internet messages to avoid issues that involves oneself. If in case you’re not aware that you are the talk of the town until someone gets your attention; well that’s because you are trying to protect yourself. Besides, it’s your life, your decision. Not because you are clueless, but because it’s no big deal.

It IS weird that the other group members didn’t know until the end of the day. I like Big Bang, but they don’t give off a very strong and cohesive feel to me. I can’t imagine any of the other boybands out there in Korea right now that would be able to go the entire day without checking up on the other members (even if it is through SMS or phone calls or something).
