Hyun Bin is losing it

hb_081120

Viewers that is.

During a recent press conference, Hyun Bin, the male lead of KBS’ drama “World’s Within“, confessed that people have voiced their concern over the low viewership of the drama. Fingers are pointing to the poor acting skills of the female lead Song Hye-kyo. And the hype of the comeback of Song Hye-kyo and Hyun Bin has not helped. High expectations generally leads to big letdowns.

Although Hyun Bin stated that he generally does not pay attention to drama ratings since it may affect his acting, he obviously knows what’s going on now.

Poor Hyun Bin. Low viewership usually translates into less fans, which then translates into less popularity, which will then lead to obscurity.

Is this the end for him?

This is a result of all the hype regarding the comebacks of himself and Song Hye-kyo, the female lead.

when i read the writings from somebody up there…i feel like everyone just tried to criticize as much as they could, they followed someone else to say that HB is almost nothing without Kim Sam Soon => it’s just a high-rating film , no more to talk again and again …

It’s not about the drama WW, i think u guys r so boring instead :) ) And poor u, not poor HB !

still support HYUN BIN ang SONG HYE GYO

i will support until the end of the world!!!!!

    i tried watching it
and song hye gyos character is not that interesting
the plot seems like a hardcore boring version of on air
its too overdramatic about a damn tape in the first ep.
lost my interest completely even though i love song hye gyo..

its not her fault, she was portraying her character well…
    the character is the flaw
    she’s just boring
    story is NG !
    a lost cause.

The low viewership rating is not HB’s fault.
As much as I love his acting in Worlds Within, I found myself skimming through the episode just to see his parts, because the story is really boooo-ring!

Too bad, actually, because I see HB improved his acting skill greatly there.

But I believe I will see more of him in the future ^^

I kinda have to agree with elyse. I did the same thing while watching the series, skimming through the episode just to see his and Song Hye Kyo’s parts.

But the story in itself is very realistic specifically Hyun Bin and Song Hye Kyo’s love story. I mean, if you had gone through a serious relationship, you can really really relate to it. If you pay more attention. you’ll learn a lot too! Like how men and women deal with relationships differently, that’s why you really have to put an effort in your relationships.
I understand bit mature that’s why most viewers cannot appreciate it.

Both actors did pretty well in the role they are playing…

all in all, i think it’s good!

the story itself is very serious and realistic that makes it boring to many people. some people, ok most viewers prefer something light, casual and humorous, becos after a hard day, when u sit in front of tv, u want something to ease all the pain in the day and makes you relax~

but to some people, they prefer something like this, something different, something more realistic, that you can relate to, that makes you think. its all about preference, really~

its true, the wardrobe and hairstyle is a bit unflattering, the story at certain part, going rather slowly and repetitive..which isnt a good thing. and SHK could have done a better job, HB’s acting is satisfactory, but if you look at the supporting casts, i think they have done quite an excellent job.

but in the end of the day, im just another viewer, i have no knowledge in filming and stuff, im commenting on what i see based on instinct, personal preference and observation only.

    No wayyyyyyyyy :(
this is not an end for hyun bin oppa
    no way

    not for hyun bin

the drama sucks anyway…not hyun bin
he should choose the drama that suits him next time

HB can always stay as the CF king but cannot do much in the acting world, so far his records proved so …

  17. 17 LJ May 25, 2009 at 11:03 pm

    I beg to differ.

People are beginning to recognize WW counts as one of those brillant and thought provoking dramas. It is unfortunately played for the wrong audience because people who watch Kdrama watched them for the escapism factor which is not WW is.

Nevertheless, HB delivered the goods in WW and showed us he can act which is what matters more than the ratings. As an actor here for the long run, it would just be the ticket to open more doors for him.

It is the quality and experience that counts, not the numbers. I would say keep our eyes open for more good projects from him. The best is yet to come!

this is why Korean celebrities commit suicide. People like you ALWAYS MAKING A BIG DEAL OUT OF POPULARITY AND PUBLIC IMAGE kill not only their careers but their dignity.

can we just let these people do their craft?! We all need to grow up and understand more real-life materials. These artists cannot always please these netizens…sometimes they just need to ACT because that’s their JOB.

  19. 19 tata August 4, 2009 at 4:40 pm

i think, those drama not too bad, it’s depend on quality of brain the people who see it. everyone have they own opinion and have a freedom rights to tell they opinion to public. a fans will not leave they idol just because a trivial matter.

  20. 20 lalala August 15, 2009 at 7:57 pm

i personally think her acting was good and the drama over all was great (:
