Jo In-sung and Joo Jin-mo go man-on-man

Joinsung_joojimo_081124

Jo In-sung and Joo Jin-mo get it on in the upcoming film by director Yoo Ha called, “Frozen Flower” (쌍화점). The trailer, just released today, is the talk of the town. In particular, the love scene where Jo In-sung looks longingly into Joo Jin-mo’s eyes and Song Ji-hyo’s sexy shots with Joo Jin-mo are the cause of the stir.

So will scandalous gay love scenes from the Joseon era bring crowds into  the theaters? Probably.

“Frozen Flower” premieres on December 30th 2008 in Korea.

  5. 5 Julia November 25, 2008 at 4:36 am

Can they make another movie called “Hot Flower” or something like that? Adding me in the sex scene, caught in the middle of those two hunks..

*sorry, I can’t keep my mind straight right now. I love In Sung & Jin mo :D

  6. 6 yuri November 25, 2008 at 4:44 am

And still I don’t understand how koreans be making these movies, yet still be so closeminded towards gay people…

  7. 7 Shar November 25, 2008 at 4:49 am

^Julia, i’m sure you’d make a wonderful sandwich, lol. Looks really good. I don’t care if it’s about gays or straights. If the movie is good, i’m sooo watching it.

  8. 8 Shar November 25, 2008 at 4:52 am

Yuri, it’s the same here in America, ppl in the movie industry might be openminded, but we still have so many religious ppl who are still close minded to everything outside their beliefs. It’s not every religious person, but it’s still enough to make it hard for those that are homosexuals to have equal rights as everyone else in this country.

looks like another step in the right direction. who knows … maybe someday people will accept people for who they are and not judge others based on race, sex, or lifestyle preferences.

anyway … this movie looks very promising! can’t wait to see it!

  10. 10 guava November 25, 2008 at 5:08 am

    ….looks interesting.

  11. 11 Raye November 25, 2008 at 5:19 am

just because their are gay movies doesn’t mean ppl are accepting it. they just know teenage girls are going to eat this up.

the movie looks like a mixture of king’s man and brokeback. I’m not going to watch it because both of those men are ugly.

  12. 12 SP November 25, 2008 at 5:20 am

The second picture doesn’t look like Jo In Sung.

He looks like an actual girl. hahah

  13. 13 Celia November 25, 2008 at 5:21 am

    reminds me of BrookBack Mountain

  14. 14 LadyIgraine November 25, 2008 at 5:41 am

    looks good…

JIS and JJM are 2 of my favorite Korean actors. If this is a true story which happened during the Joseon Dynasty, then it must be worth watching. I’m sure it will be a box office success as the story sounds intriguing. People tend to see movies which are out of the ordinary just like Brokeback mountain. I admire these actors who accept the role as gay people. It must really be challenging to them. Congratulations to JIS and JJM. To me they are already winners.

  16. 16 K November 25, 2008 at 6:18 am

    Yeah, two handsome guys together.
Can’t wait to watch the movie.

  17. 17 Noodle November 25, 2008 at 6:52 am

Although I’m curious about how they’ll show something like that set in the Joseon era, I think this theme is actually being exploited. There’s just too many of them coming out! Oh well. Trends are trends.

  18. 18 Lildestiny November 25, 2008 at 6:54 am

    O.O speechless

  19. 19 Dovey November 25, 2008 at 7:14 am

I wanna see this. However, during filming, I wonder if these two studs felt…awkward? lol XD

  20. 20 lev November 25, 2008 at 7:36 am

“It’s gettin’ hot in here… so take off all yo’ clothes…”

    LOL.

I really want to see this. Besides the whole love scene. XDD
What sucks though is that I can’t tell who was making out with who because of the identical long hair. x<

  21. 21 Sam November 25, 2008 at 7:54 am

dunno.but the movie seems friggin awesome, its gaytastic lol

  24. 24 Cera November 25, 2008 at 8:53 am

    I’m really excited!

    For the movie, I mean.

    ^_^

  25. 25 michiko November 25, 2008 at 9:02 am

jess, he does not need a nose job, i think its his “thinness” that got his nose emphasized.

anyways, i like the trailers, very tastefully done and gay theme is contextual not just to lure watchers. I have to admit In-sung looks more beautiful than the queen, look at his features, very pure!!! hope you make good In-sung, take care always!!!

  26. 26 se7en's chick November 25, 2008 at 9:22 am

oooooh man on man action….now thats HOT lol

  28. 28 janepak November 25, 2008 at 10:09 am

  29. 29 sierra November 25, 2008 at 10:16 am

Ewwie…. the Koreans really dig this man on man stuff? :P

  30. 30 NYCgrl November 25, 2008 at 11:01 am

“And still I don’t understand how koreans be making these movies, yet still be so closeminded towards gay people…”

Because these movies are about exploiting gay romance for the female fans. Not about portraying homosexual characters as 3-dimensional people who aren’t defined solely by their sexuality.

  32. 32 calmer410 November 25, 2008 at 12:33 pm

    Brokeback Mountain ala Korea.

  33. 33 cheryle12 November 25, 2008 at 1:03 pm

    Omg this looks so good.

  40. 41 Ann*e November 25, 2008 at 3:16 pm

    that is just so wrong.
why do they make them act
    this out? so awkward… -__-;;

  41. 42 tasu November 25, 2008 at 3:30 pm

Formula for making movies in Korea :

Hot actor/actress + “gay” storyline + sex scene = box office

Hot = dare to play sexy role

    So predictable…

  42. 43 rk November 25, 2008 at 3:42 pm

Jo In sung looks so handsome! i generally dont like historical korean movies but this one looks interesting.

  43. 44 haha November 25, 2008 at 3:48 pm

HAHA! It’s ko-ryuh by the way. not choseon.

  44. 45 ami November 25, 2008 at 4:07 pm

    huh…
i dunno…. asians ted to screw up sex scenes.
Maybe it’s “Hero” that ruined sex scenes for me.

  45. 46 GOSH! November 25, 2008 at 4:29 pm

WOT THE HELL!!! THE SECOND PIC IS OF LIANG CHAO WEI AND ZHANG ZI YI FROM THE MOVIE HERO!!!!!! sry ppl, no man on man action after all.

  46. 47 rachael November 25, 2008 at 4:31 pm

    seriously they should be gay

  47. 48 Jung HyeHoon November 25, 2008 at 4:48 pm

    O.o ommo

  48. 49 Vita Kraft November 25, 2008 at 5:01 pm

Huh.. It’s not a secret that Korea was influenced by China, and took a lot of elements of chinese culture. . . though I don’t say the movie has no flaw for the historical aspect.

And what’s the common point between Broke Back & this movie, aside the gay (& probably with no happy-end) romance ? With only this trailer, well, the people who can see the “new Broke Back” are amazing !
Can’t you just see it’s the lack of gay romance movie who makes you make this comparison ? That’s where the problem is D:.

  49. 50 Vita Kraft November 25, 2008 at 5:02 pm

^which makes you, not who ^^”
