With the wrapping up of the comeback of Wondergirls and the contingent comeback of Girls Generation, Kara has recently unveiled their new concept and title song for their second mini album.
Although a smart move on DSP Entertainment, who are they trying to kid?
The new concept is an odd mixture of both Wondergirls and Girls Generation. Looking at their teaser, they mix in close ups of themselves looking cute, kind of like Girls Generation in their first music video, and bright colors with the aerobic type choreography, sort of like the Wondergirls in “Tell Me”.
They probably should have stuck with the mature image they tried to debut with instead of mixing the concepts of the previous, more popular girl groups.
Will it work?
Perhaps- if that means trying to steal fans from other girls groups (cough cough).

I don’t give a crap what Wonder girls songs rely on, they are pop singers afterall and they seem to be relying on something that works considering SNSD is scared as hell to come back and considering Kara has been ripping their concepts once they’re done with them rofl.
More power to WG I guess lmao. I havn’t even heard them sing before but I have heard Kara, and they’re pretty awful. lol and all the girls in the group are f*cking ugly. it’s weird. lol

I think they’re trying to get the young teen market, not the 15 and above since some members are younger. It does look like they’re trying to be Wonder Girls catchy. But cuter as they still carry the cute image they have with Rock U.
On a different note, I didn’t like Rock U very much at first… But when I heard the guitar again…it really goes well with them.

I like WG-KARA-SNSD and I hate when people always complain and compare them !
They are so different from each other but I think people (oversea) are blind by SNSD or WG and don’t want to give a chance to others ; always ready to attact without any rational behaviour and always pretending to know as if they are professional while they are just simple listerners who most of time don’t even know a little thing about music !
KARA are not trying to copy someone els : Tell Me concept (That’s really funny Lol.) ’cause was’t it retro, and for Girl’s generaion the concept was girlish !
Wonder Girls are just popular because of the song they promote while the others songs are bad but even if KARA songs are not great they are nice to hear.

People say that KARA and failure and not popular.. Looking at these blogs and the comments… i say KARA is now popular.. if people dont know them, then why are they talking about them? Try listening to Secret World (live) and If U Wanna (live).. Rock U too, with the school girl uniforms? They can totally sing in live…

As for Kara, just based on this song, they have potential but they need the right song and image. This song is HORRIBLE and no matter how good someone’s voice is, they can’t salvage a bad song, there’s a difference.
and tiffa: Most of the members of WG are around that age and they have a lot more maturity compared to this concept. WG always had a more down-to-earth vibe during interviews and shows and even with their concepts they’ve always been mature. Just because you’re young doesn’t mean you can’t be mature. ._.

honestly, Wonder Girls pawns KARA hands down! Ye eun, Sunye and Sunmi has better vocals than all of the KARA members… they are cute and all, but vocally their just ok… the new members hardly get to sing… Sohee can’t sing, she didn’t audition to be a singer but an actress… she has other talents to… and let me see, Nicole and Yoobin are the rappers right? well i think we all know the winner is Yoobin… so please don’t start claiming how KARA has more talent than Wonder Girls…

You can’t compare Wonder Girls and SNSD with Kara because it’s kind of a young group, much younger than WG&SNSD. Even if they DO succeed, the first people they have to thank are WG&SNSD, because they are the ones who opened they way to girl bands!!!
