What’s with everyone coming to America? Guess the fans pleadings have been heard.
JYP has announced that during his 2009 tour, he will be hitting up not only New York and Los Angeles but also the random La Mirada, CA as well (where is that?).
As of now, no word yet on who else will be performing during the actual concert except for the Wondergirls and Mr. Dancing Gorilla himself.
Hopefully, another Rain disaster will not occur. Instead, you might see Perez Hilton there.
So if you’re in any of these three areas, check out powerhouselive.net to order your tickets online starting Wednesday, December 3, 2008. As of now, the website is going through some last run-throughs before tickets are made available

Guess Christmas has come early for Korean pop fans in America.

In my opinion, K-Pop stars should take it slowly before creating a bLast in the west…(I’m an asian & I Lived in NYC for a years) and having observed their system…It’s not that their hard to please but the competition in the west i soooo waaayyyy STRONG…
If Wonder Girls (I Love them too!) would start activities in the US in the first quarter of 09′ they might have hard time…Why? The Whole America (i mean WHOLE AMERICA) is preparing for Britney Spears Comeback, Beyonce just released a New Album, Rihanna would be releasing her 4th album in first quarter of 09, Justin Timberlake would be releasing an aLbum too and since Asian Artist are like going US Audience, West has been more aware and more awaiting to our K-Pop Artist…BoA…BoA has a large fanbase already in US especially in NYC where “Eat You Up” is being played in CLubs…and another asian, “Charice” (from the Philippines) who recently made appearances in Ellen, Oprah, Good Morning America etc. (w/c is all American Audience are all eyes on her) would be doing a career in collaboration with David Foster…
Therefore, Let’s just take it down slowly then conquer American audience. I really suggest that they should make their name BIG, really BIG in ASIA meaning ASIA CONTINENT (since we have the largest continent in the world) so why not conquer the Largest Continent?!…ü
P.S.
Perez Hilton is a famouse American Gossiper, Blogger & Cyber Critic who bLog about Bi Rain’s fLop concert in the US. and yes, he should be the one we all should watch out…
–> PROUD to be ASIAN and Let’s just support all our K-Pop Artists! AJA! AJA! FIGHTING!~

^ You know there’s a huge difference between Charice & Kpop stars, seriously! Charice is wowing & attracting people with her natural talent and people are respecting that. However, sorry to say, but Kpop is so farther down on the respect and talent level, its groups are like jokes or gimmicks. As for Boa, well I think the dismal sales of her digital single and lack of physical single is quite telling. Boa has her mostly asian fans in the bigger cities, but hardly anyone else knows her, her video is still nowhere to be seen.
La Mirada? No kidding!
I live like 15 minutes away from there!
Soooooo going to this!! XD
^ I guess I Have to agree with YOU SIM…ü =)
well my point is, these groups should take it slowly before conquering a market that is higly competitive…
If BoA who is on top of her prime & is the Biggest name in korea is yet nowhere to be seen for now, what about the wonder girls?!…*peace everyone!~*
As for Charice, She’s Definitely a TALENT! A PURE OF IT’S OWN! Mabuhay Pilipinas!
wondergirls suck
노래도 못하면서
shut your mouth EUN
do you have videos exposing your better talent? do you have the goods to back up what you are saying?
honestly, do people like you have to spread your hate everwhere you go? even on the web? i feel sorry for you if you have nothing better to do that write comments that show what an ugly immature person you are and think so arrogantly of yourself. go get checked or something.
WG FIGHTING!! and y are people always comparing SNSD to WG? they are FRIENDS you know. it’s the psycho crazy fans that build antis. stop and look at the problem from both sides POINT OF VIEW. WONDER GENERATION FOREVER<3
I’m going to the NYC concert.
I love Wonder Girls!!!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
by the way, you don’t necessarily have to be freaking talented to be a judge of one. but yea honestly, i know i can sing and dance better man. you’ll see me on the t.v. in like…5 minutes pahaha
get a life
Allrighty now, i’m in NYC..which i don’t see a lot of people commenting from.
50 and up is ridiculous though..because i went to a backstreet boys concert for 150 and was able to shake hands with them. ANYWAYS, WonderGirls…i used to dislike them until my friends forced me to sit down and listen and if you do like i did, you’d understand that it’s not that bad…i still dislike tell me though..(don’t understand that sensation) anyways. I know my friends would roughly spend…100 max of their own money. so I hope parents are ready for their teens that want to buy 150 ones..cause i can count on that not happening. Also…I think if DBSK came or SUJU they’d do better, because i know i’d pay WHATEVER amount for DBSK to come here. Just my 2 cents.
Maybe it’ll go well…but i hope the rain thing won’t happen…lol…btw i found it funny when someone thought perez hilton was a joke for Paris Hilton. lmfao…no offense. but i think Perez Hilton is the Make it or break it for WonderGirls in the US. If everything goes well..the millions of people that read his blog will check up on WG and they’ll be bigger…ohhh yeah and that’ll include All of US! -oh emm gee- lets hope…
WonderGirls all the way~!!!
Good luck in the USA Wonder Girls!
(How can we spread the k-pop fever?)
I agree … it’s going to be difficult. I go into places like Borders and Barnes and Nobles (in the USA), and you can hardly find anything K-Pop.
In any case, traveling with the Jonas Brothers means that they’ll at least be performing for a packed audience, increasing the odds that they’ll get their name out.
I also agree with OMYCECE. I think DBSK or SuJu would catch peoples’ attention and interest faster. When I was younger, Backstreet Boys and *Nsync were huge (and continue to be loved)! The USA, since then, has been rather low on Boy Bands.
DBSK or SuJu would really stand out – they also have cool choreography and intense (well, it’s varied) music, that would appeal to both male and female artists. … just my opinion though – and what do I know ^^;; (I’m a math major, not a business or anthropology major – heh.)
Well, in the meantime, the fact is that the Wonder Girls are here, and I wish them the best of luck. I’d love to see them … but the fact that they’re performing with the Jonas Brothers means the tickets will be pricey and harder to obtain. Who knows though.
WG fighting!!
(DBSK & SuJu: PLEASE come to the east coast!! I’d go no matter what! FIGHTING!!!!)
… and by “male and female artists,” I meant “male and female consumers/students/etc (ie. people in general).”
I don’t get it. I don’t think Wonder Girls coming to America actually means that they’re trying to get on the same level as the American celebrities. I just think they’re coming here for their Korean fans. For example, it seems like you guys are saying it like this, let’s say someone from Brazil going to England to sing for the English instead of their Brazilian fans IN England. I’m pretty sure they’re after their Korean or possibly Asian fans. I just think that’s what they’re doing. Besides, what’s the deal with “ASIA CONTINENT”. Do you know how many languages Asia actually HAS? Yes, this includes the Arab countries, sweeties. I don’t think they’re trying to get into the American market. Jeez. Just let them sing for their fans, people. No need to bring in DBSK, Boa, and all the other stars in Korea…and I don’t know where you get the star from the Phillipines. Maybe because she’s Asian? Anyway.
