Kim A-joong, the original “200lb Beauty” (2006) came out to support her counterpart, Bada in the musical production of the story. The V.I.P. event was held at the Chungmuro Art Hall on December 2nd.
Others stars who were spotted at the event were Han Ko-eun and Park Han-byul.
The movie version of “200lb Beauty” drew in 6.6 million moviegoers into theaters in 2006.

Not to be a “wet blanket” but I don’t think it’s appropriate to honor a film that tells young girls the only way to succeed is to disregard who you truly are and be transformed into something fake and safe. Plastic Surgery is booming because of movies, and celebrities (rumors say), like these. This film, and now musical, sends a horrible message to young people. Why was it a hit?
