Does everyone phone each other to coordinate outfits and materials?
Again, at the 7th Korea Film Awards on December 4th, we have the celebrity favorite, black and white - similar to representing the car population on the roads of Korea. While there were a few splashes of red and gasp, pink, for the most part…. the female celebrities opted for either fitted cleavage baring dresses in monotones or loosely fitted ones with low necklines that are fit better on the pages of a fashion magazine.
So, we are not even going to bother commenting on the dresses because it’s the same old stuff….
However, we will report on the winners of the night:
Best picture: The Chaser (추격자)
Best Director: Na Hong-jin for “Chaser” (추격자)
Best Actor: Kim Yoon-suk (Chaser, 추격자)
Best Actress: Kong Hyo-jin (Crush and Blush, 미쓰 홍당무)
Best Supporting Actor: Park Hee-soon (Seven Days)
Best Supporting Actress: Kim Ji-young (Best moment of our lives, 우리 생애 최고의 순간)
Best New Actor: Kim Ji-hwan (A movie is a movie)
Best New Actress: Suh Woo (Crush and Blush, 미쓰 홍당무)
Han Ye-seul. (Did we say that we are not going to comment?! Well, can’t do it) If the dress is too long, don’t wear it. And why is she wearing chiffon in the winter? Thank goodness that tonight was relatively warm (although the temperature has now dropped to 0 C).
Go Joon-hee. Pass. Have nothing nice to say.
Huh Young-hee. Yep, it’s color, yes, it’s satin and yes, it’s boring. The dress looks like a $50 prom dress.
Jessica Gomez. The Sports Illustrated model and LG mobile model sticks with low-key black. The deep scooped neckline makes her look wide.
Song Yoon-ah This looks familar… hasn’t this already been worn?
Park Ha-sun reveals the result of miraculous engineering that probably involves lots of tape, extra padding and a good bra.
Cho Ja-hyun. So the flowy dress and equally matching flowy hair don’t look half bad but the woman should refrain from turning around if she’s got nothing to show.
Kim Min-hee needs to pull up her dress, but that would be dangerous since the dress is so short there might be unnecessary exposure. But in this outfit, it looks like her boobs are sagging. Not a good look. But love the glittery high platforms.
Park Eun-hye wears a discounted wedding dress.
Kim Min-sun may have stuck with black, but she looks way older. And is that cleavage I see? Another example of a miraculous engineering feat.

Shin Mina
Kong Hyo-jin, and Ha Jung-woo. If you look closely, you can see her boobage cups- this is why you don’t wear white chiffon at a major event that involves flash lighting.
Han Ji-hye wears a cute pink dress with some ruffle detail but the dress seems to be wearing her instead of the other way around. Woman needs to chow down on a few hamburgers.
Suh Woo, Lee Young-hun. Suh Woo fills out her dress but that’s about it.
Yoon Se-ah must have taken leftover carpet from last year and added a few tacky $1 craft jewels for this red dress. Does she not notice that everything is red?
Kang Ji-hwan is going for the retro 60’s look with his do?
Son Ye-jin. What is flattering about this crimson chiffon dress? Nothing. Perhaps if it was on a fashion model, it might look better. Woman does not have the confidence nor poise to pull this off. And besides, it looks like the same dress as Han Ye-seul.

Korean female celebrities are good looking and wear great dresses on the red carpet but what bothers me is their flair to carry off certain dresses…
Most of them cannot even carry simple plunging neck dresses, why wear something which is even more revealing? They hunch and have these odd-uneasy smiles on their face all the time. The photos get spoiled…
Shin MinAh is the most elegant and graceful of the lot~ She carries of her tried and tested and very much time and over repeated black colour dress(not bad) very well on the red carpet. Her poise and her face adds allure to her overall persona and outfit. She simply shines through~

Han ye seul looks amazing as well. Her dress really flatters her and it’s definitely appropriate for the red carpet. Chiffon in the winter is plenty appropriate if you’re attending a RED CARPET EVENT.

We are fortunate that the actors and actresses even bother to attend these shows. They could have stayed home and watched television in more comfortable attire.
Maybe one day, the award show will be revamped to be a daytime/beach restaurant affair-so everyone can be more comfortable and not get blinded by the flashing cameras.

I think if SYJ’s dress is in black it would look like a ripped trash bag, even in red it’s not working, but she’s pretty if only looking at the face.

I think Jessica Gomes looks the best. Less so because of her looks but because of the way she works the dress and her confidence in her poses. A lot of the Korean celebrities look really self-conscious when they’re wearing these types of dresses.

the shots of Kim Min-Hee walking look so strange…..like an alien! And I definitely agree, Cho Ja-hyun should not turn around. Not only is there nothing on the dress to show off, no back-baring plunges or elaborate designs, but she has no ass. It makes her neck and torso look terribly short.
